Hello everyone, I'm here probably like most of you to glean as much information as I can on the next mustang. So far I am very impressed and will most likely be picking one up next year as a 2016 model (I'm firmly against buying first years of a new gen of car). This will be my first mustang and first ford actually. I've owned only imports before this and currently drive an 01 Acura CL Type S, it's stock but fast enough and very comfortable. I've also owned 2 3000GT VR4's both of which had about 300 whp and were very fun to drive. So the new mustang will be a lot of firsts for me and I can't wait. First American car, first RWD car, first car with over 400hp, also the first brand new car I will be buying.

See you around the forums

I guess I never introduced myself. I'm Chance Hales. I am currently a full time student at Utah Valley University where I am studying journalism. I am also a freelance automotive photographer and previously worked for Kirkham Motorsports, the Cobra replica builder. I own two Mustangs, a 1967 and a 1991 GT. The 91 is my daily right now but I bought it with the intention of swapping out the drivetrain and dropping it in my 67.

Good to have you onboard, Chance. Thank you for your contributions too :coolphotos:

I like the Fox, but the '67 is gorgeous. Looks like it could tell a tale or two

Howdy y'all. Names Rick. I've been drawn to this site looking for info on the 2015, and enthusiast forums have always been the go to for the inside scoop.
This overhaul of the Mustang is the reason I am considering it. Currently driving a Fusion and an Ecoboost F150.
I have owned a couple cars worth mentioning:
2006 Honda S2000
This car has the best shifter mankind has ever made. Could never relax in it though. Always felt like I was driving a fighter jet. Frenetic, had to rev to the gods to get the power.

2009 BMW 335i coupe
Loved this car. Power, 300hp+, always available twin turbo torque. Tech that was novel at the time, keyless entry and start, onscreen ipod integration. (idrive style controllers kick touchscreens ass) Rain sensing wipers. HIDs that turned into corners with you. Heated steering wheel (you don't know you need this until you use it.) But surprise, not reliable; 2 sets if injectors, 2 sets of turbos, 4 HPFPs.

I cant wait to test drive a GT!

I know we're all eager for information to be officially released and order banks to open. When that happens, we'll have a dedicated sticky thread for Deysha/Tricia to help answer questions and work their magic. :)

We're getting closer!

Holy cow that is a lot of big dollar items breaking on the BMW. I was considering one for a while but when you have to replace injectors turbos and fuel pumps more than once there is a problem. Good to have you here

It was mostly on the factory warranty thank god. The last thing to go was the injectors for the 2nd time. Was on aftermarket extended warranty. Even thought the dealership agreed it was the injectors that screwed the plugs, the warranty co. would not replace them since they are a "consumable" like brake pads, or wipers. So $250 later for six plugs installed led me to decide to get rid of it. What was going to go next? And while reading the fine print of the extended warranty, I found the section that says that there is a finite amount of $ that can be claimed on this warranty. Like $4000! Hell, I had blown through a good chunk of that with the injector replacement.
It was a surprise to me, so all you aftermarket warranty holders, read the fine print, to the end!
