Hello all,

This is Jeff from Detroit. Well, originally from Detroit - I've been living in Japan for the past 11 years...

I drive a 2011 Mustang GT over here. It's a little piece of home!
I also have a 1973 Mach 1 Q-code back in the States, but haven't decided if it's staying there or being shipped to Japan.

I've been intensely following the next-gen Mustang and finally decided to join the forum. Seems like a great community.

Like I said, I've been in Japan for 11 years, but it's possible that I might finally return to Michigan next year. If I do come back, I'm really debating what to do with my 2011. I absolutely love that car and I'm really concerned that the next-gen Mustang won't live up to what I'm hoping for. I could easily sell it here and get a new Mustang on A-plan when I get back, but if I don't like the 6G, I'll probably have to find a 2011 or 2012 used. Hopefully there will be a good selection... Either that or bring my 2011 back with me which could get expensive. Hmmm...

I wish they would show the car soon so I could make some decisions!

Anyways, nice to meet everybody!

Hello all, Mike from Chicago. I've read this site for awhile now. I post over at Allfordmustangs as Wildcat07GT, don't know if there any other AFM members here. I wanted to join up because of all the in depth discussion here on the '15, and the amazing work being done on here with the renders.

Look forward to posting.

Hello everyone...

...I'm Lou, been a Ford Mustang fan for the better part of my 45 years of age, until last year I was driving a 2004 CompOrangeCobra thus my name on most other sites but due to change in job and the need for an all year round, all weather (including snow and lots of it) vehicle I had to trade it in on my current 2011 Raptor. I have been keeping a real close eye on the upcoming 2015 gen 6 Mustang to see what will be available in the near future as I hope I will be able to go back to a Mustang down the road. Sorry for the long intro...Lou

Hello, fellow Ford fanatics

Happy to be a member of this community here. A few personal factoids:

Retired former journalist and computer help support tech

Car nut all my life. Love affair goes back to when I was 8 years old.

Owned way too many cars to name here. Some highlights...
1st car: hand-me-down '53 Ford Mainline coupe, six, 3 on the tree.
1st new car: '66 Mustang notchback, six, 3 on the floor.
No bat outta hell, but nice car: '75 Mustang II fastback, 2.8, 4-speed
Most entertaining car: '90 Taurus SHO, 5-speed.
Most pleasant surprise: '71 Fiat 124 Sport Coupe, 1608cc, 5-speed
Sleeper of the bunch: '85 Volvo 240 Turbo 4-door sedan, 4-speed + OD
Worst Cars: '66 MGB/'75 Audi Fox/'69 VW Squareback (3-way tie)
Worst Gas/Oil/ATF hog: '68 Charger R/T, 440 Magnum, Auto, 130k miles
Good: 3 Jeep Cherokees, 1 Grand Cherokee - 2 auto, 2 5-speed, all 4wd
Fave truck owned: 90 Ranger, 4.0, 5-speed

Lots of motorcycles:
Mostly Honda 750 Fours and Kawasaki KZ1000s & a KZ1100 Spectre
Cruiser: Honda Shadow Sabre 1100. Sport Touring: Honda ST1100

Very intrigued by to see what Ford will do with the 2015 Mustang. I know what the engineers are capable of. Question is, will the marketing and accounting guys let them bring a truly great 50th anniversary Mustang to the market? Based on what Ford has done with the Fiesta ST and Focus ST, I'm betting on "Yes." This Mustang is going to Europe. I don't think Ford will embarrass itself there with the new model.

I've been reading the threads, and the renders are intriguing. Well done, guys. Clearly a labor of love by you.

Ford has a difficult job. Pleasing both the traditionalists and the futurists with the new pony car will be no small accomplishment. Again, I think Ford can pull this off. They know better than anyone how much they have on the line with this car.

Best Regards,

- JP

Hello all,

My name is Collin, 22. I live on Long Island and my goal is to order a 2015 mustang once the banks open.

I currently drive a Subaru Outback but have been dying to own a mustang since I knew anything about cars. Hopefully soon my dream will come true.

I am a Computer Engineer for Audiovox.

I hope I can learn much from the community here and hopefully impart some wisdom myself. Thanks for having me!

That's pretty cool, i'm in school for Computer Science, and only have about a year left  I think we share similar dreams.

My name is Justin, 20 years olds, turning 21 next month. I live in Florida, been here all of my life. Been up and down the east coast a bit though.

Oddly enough, wasn't into cars much for the first half of my life, despite my father being a mechanic for Ford for 17+ years. Kind've wish I felt this way much earlier, I could've drove quite a few nicer cars. Now, I'm pretty eager to learn much more about cars. Anything from fixing them to modifying them :D

I drive a '12 Ford Focus now, and I can't wait to own a Mustang myself for the first time. Everything I've seen so far i'm really liking, and can't wait to see the thing unveiled. Very hard to wait for a '15 when there are so many good deals going on right now, but i'm saving as much money as possible. I really hope I can save up a good bit and get exactly what I want, but only time will tell and it can be difficult since i'm still in college.

Thank you! I've been lurking for quite some time, and after seeing how great the community is I couldn't help but want to get involved in the discussions and such. I can only imagine what things will be like once we start seeing the real thing.

So happy to find this site

Hi to all the Mustang fans. I have been a Mustang fan all my life, well, at least from the time I was 10 years old and the first Mustang was introduced. I guess you can guess my age, but my first new car was a 1973 Mustang. Since that time, I have almost never been without a pony in the garage. I currently own a 2007 black GT and am eagerly awaiting the 2015. Thanks for a great site where Mustang fans can come together to discuss what is yet to come.

My wife owned a "shit-stang" many years ago in college. She always wanted a nice Mustang.

Out of guilt because of the stress one of our more "challenging" children has provided a year ago I got my wife a 2013 Mustang. Smart move. Great car. My wife's still here.

But while we were looking at cars I made a terrible mistake and did a test drive of a manual transmission Mustang GT. I've felt a deep longing every since for getting back to that stick-shift. I've literally woken up in the middle of the night thinking about it. My kids ask why I'm resting one of my hands on the gear-shift while I'm driving the Civic. (Sigh.) After winter is over I hope to get a manual transmission car. Probably a Mustang, although the Focus ST looks nice too.
