Hello all. Long time lurker. Big time car/bike guy. Got a 2016 GTPPP almost a month ago... I'm obsessed. Owned a lot of cool cars. Just traded in a mini jcw for the GT. Also have/had Rx7 Fd. Mk3 and 4 supra. 2 camaros. Edge. Infiniti fx35. Wrx. 3000gt. Cbr600. R6. This is my first Mustang. Always loved em finaly jumped in and got one. Nice to actually say hi to you all! I look forward to contributing and learning from this forum.

Still got the FD? If so, post a pic. I was trained/learned car design from the father of the FD(and Miata). Still a gorgeous car after all these years...thats good design!

Hi guys! Just bought a 2015 V6 Convertible. I'm a long time convertible owner (NA, NB, and NC Miatas and an MR2 Spyder) but this is my first Mustang. Believe it or not I went to buy a 2014 base GT 'vert based on a positive experience I had renting a 2011 GT 'vert for my birthday weekend a few years back. Other than the engine I liked everything about the S550 better... the looks, the ride, the tech, and the handling. I'll be the first to say that it's nothing special at least when it comes to Mustangs. Unfortunately I couldn't afford an S550 GT 'vert but maybe someday. Until then, I'm going to enjoy a lot of sunny days in this one!

Hey guys, picked up a 2016 GT premium yesterday and figured i'd introduce myself. I've had a 2011 GT as well as a 06 GT in the past and look forward to learning alot about the S550's. Here's a few pics, all stock for now with a JLT oil separator on order.

Nice! I had an NA Miata before the mustang lol.

And when you say you couldn't afford an S550 GT vert...you mean a gt350? All 2015+ (6th gen) mustangs are S550's. That's just the chassis code.

No I mean I couldn't afford an S550 GT vert over the S550 V6 vert I got. The price differential is still too much in my area. There are only 1-2 used ones at any point in time in the ATL metro area and they sell for $35-37k+ with 15-20k miles on them, versus like 25 V6 verts to choose from selling for $22-24k with the same miles. I could have bought the S197 GT vert I looked at but I didn't like anything about it as much as my V6 with the single exception of the power from the 5.0.

I will be buying it after a few months definitely. I live near Chicago and currently drive the Honda Accord. You guys are great!
