Hello all. I'm Ted and I live in NC. Been lurking on here for a few months and decided to join today. I've been a Mustang fan since the 90's but finally got around to buying one last fall. The "Hurricane" is a 2015 GT Premium (400A) in Deep Impact Blue with Saddle leather interior. Some basic mods (CAI, exhaust, springs, etc.) have been done already, but there are plenty more planned in the near future. I'm also a member of the Heart of Carolina Mustang club here in central NC. Looking forward to sharing the S550 love with you all!

Here's a few pics of the Stang...

Hello everyone! I've been lurking on the forum for months and I'm finally ready to order next week! I have test driven all of the mustang models, camaro, genesis coupe, fiat abarth, FR-S/BR-Z, veloster turbo... blah blah blah. Nothing provoked an emotional response from me like the mustang. The other cars were OK, but the mustang evoked this visceral feeling of satisfaction. I was hooked!

I have it narrowed to either the base V6 or base GT, either with the manual transmission. I have a loaded Kia Sorento SX for bells and whistles like cooled seats, nav, etc. I want a car I can work on, with performance parts, interior trim and stereo. I was unimpressed with the Shaker systems so I'll start with the base and do a full build. After the engine pick, I need to decide on color. I'm thinking magnetic or oxford white.

I'm a freshly minted physician, just finishing residency and fellowship. After busting my a** for 14 years, I think I deserve a treat, and I couldn't imagine a better one than a mustang!

As the old saying goes, " Doctor heal thyself", but do it with a Magnetic Cyclone Mustang with Manual...such a sweet ride will you get from those 300 ponies under the hood. And since you say that you want to "operate" on your Pony, I might point out that there's ample operating room under the hood with the V-6. :clap2: The Cyclone Powered base Mustang is a true bargain...and besides, some people have realized that they can live happy without "My Little Pony Puddle Lights"!

Hi all,

First post, and no Mustang (yet). Driving a Subaru Legacy GT LTD 5MT wagon that is the best and fastest car I have ever owned, but it's 12 years old and husband and I just finished paying 8 straight years of large college payments for the kids and it's *my* turn for a new car finally.

Started my search process on the BMW side and came very close to pulling the trigger on an M4 (after deciding against a Tesla). Husband is a huge BMW fan, but something about the process of even finding a manual to test drive and, in the end, having major concerns about dropping 80K on my daily driver made me hesitate (much to my spouse's disappointment, ;) )

Back to the drawing board and one day saw a beautiful 2015 GT. Hmmmm. As a native Californian, the Mustang was a serious lust car. And of course, iconic. And buying American is a bonus.

So, dropped by a local dealer and what do you know, they had a car we could test drive sitting right there. It drove very differently than the Subie, but I really enjoyed it.

I've been reading up ever since and this forum was helpful so I decided to join. I've been promised a new car as soon as the youngest graduates college this June - so soon!

Currently thinking about a Ruby Red GT Premium with PP and A401. Excited at the prospects and looking forward to learning more.

Thanks in advance for the help,

JT

Welcome, and hope you join us. It's a nice community. My wife and I consider our Mustang our "time machine."

I pulled the trigger last night! It took weeks of searching but I took home my babe last night. 2016 Mustang GT 6-speed manual, Deep Impact Blue, 300a, only option is reverse park assist. I got an insane deal on it. Shout out to Ron Tirapelli Ford in Shorewood, IL for the best car buying experience of my life. Well worth the 90 minute drive to get it.

I'm not entirely new here...

I've been lurking mostly with the occasional post. Drive a 2015 EBM PP. Nice daily driver - drove it last year until the snow fell then fell back on my 2009 Civic coupe as a winter beater. Eager to get the mustang out and do some minor mods.

Hello, everyone, glad to finally be back in a Mustang again. Started in my teens with a 1969 Coupe Grande, 351w. Went though some daily drivers and a few 1969 Fastback projects that were never finished. Got the chance to buy a 2012 Boss 302, CO. Ended up selling it and went through a couple more daily drivers and an STi. Turbo cars were fun, but still lusted for my American V8 Mustang. Happen on chance, found a great deal on a 16 CO PP GT loaded with what I would order it with, so it was meant to be for me. Traded the STi for the GT and have been smiling ever since. Lurked here for a few days and decided on a Steeda Stage 1 suspension kit to improve handling to Boss-like standards. I put a 16 CS grille and muffler delete, but have been looking up more mods for it.

Hey everyone, Tom here. I have lurked for about 3 months and started my account a few weeks ago seeing as I recently acquired a 2016 OW base GT with the 6mt. Previously, I owned a 2012 GT/CS that I had sold, and regretted the day ever since. Now that I am back in a "refined" coyote, the "smiles-per-gallon" are back with an abundance.
This is intended to hold me over for a couple years, but I am already considering keeping it long term and turning it into a project. Either way I wanted to introduce myself and say hello. The mods will begin soon (the itch for more is always there).
