Wawanesa certainly isn't liked by the folks on Yelp.
yelp.com/biz/wawanesa-insurance-san-diego-4
I'm an adjuster, don't worry about who is better, all insurance companies are more or less the same, take the $1000 savings, way worth it.
I ended up switching to Geico. I know I'm about to sound like a commercial but I seriously saved close to 1000 dollars on my car insurance by switching to Geico, with even more coverage than what I was getting with State Farm. Wawanesa was still slightly cheaper but their closest location to me is 2 hours away. At least Geico has smaller offices in Los Angeles in case I ever need to go. $980 for 6 months - I'm 24 years old. Wawanesa was quoting me 860, and I was paying 1800 with State Farm.

Yikes, I don't think I'd be able to have the mustang if I was paying what many of you do. Some of you are paying more monthly than I pay in 6 months for full coverage.

Insurance will vary a lot mainly with location. Even if the same exact car and age person both with clean records.

They do it on crash stats in your area, natural disaster issues (earthquakes or hurricanes) etc.

There is just no way to compare.

Exactly! I moved from Florida to Wisconsin and my insurance dropped by more than 50%.

Dont forget a lot of companies also use credit scores to determine rates.

32 / Geico / Full Coverage / $500 ded. Comp/Coll / 2016 Mustang GT Premium / $265 - 6 months.

Including my wife's 2015 Explorer we pay $664 - 6 months, not bad for two cars.

I own a V6 and pay 200/month with State Farm. 1000 deductibles with 25/50/25 coverage. I am 25 and only 1 +10mph speeding ticket on my record. Insurance in Detroit is costly !!

You guys piqued my curiosity with all these great prices by Geico.

Using their online site I was able to save $225 every 6 months, but, with less coverage than USAA is providing. The higher rate is zeroed out though, because USAA pays me a yearly "profit" check based on how well the company did.

I'm also paying an additional $7 per car with USAA for "Waiver of Collision Deductible".
Geico's limits on Property Damage are lower than USAA has available.
USAA also reduces the rate by 3% for automatic payments and I pay monthly without any interest or fees for doing so.

A few weeks ago I checked out Ameriprise and they where within $10 of my current coverage.

Guess I'll stay with USAA a while longer.

Mine is $93 a month with Geico. Zero deductible on comprehensive, $501 collision. Also have their roadside/towing which is kind of pointless but it's only $2 every 6 months. Rental is $2.68 a month. Also have uninsured motorist coverage.

50/100 bodily injury, 50 property damage, 10 medical. Also note that my wife's Jeep and my beater truck are on the same policy.

We've had a few claims for the lockout coverage and a couple of windshield ones on the Jeep, hence the zero deductible. That and I had my truck total from hail damage with them.

42 and I live in DFW where insurance is higher than many places.

Also have an ATV policy through them. Previously I had my sport bike with them as well and they were by far the cheapest on it. I have homeowners through Allstate and have shopped USAA. Geico is by far the lowest.
