Hey my fellow M1 nutcases! I’m joking, but Im plain mental for my Mach1 ! Maybe it’s the cancer I’m trying to work through, but when I lift the car cover & take a peep, there’s a ray of light that filters into me. It’s because when bought the car, I wasn’t yet diagnosed. In fact, no symptoms except for fatigue. That’s sometimes how this blood plasma cancer works. On the bright side, I’m on a break till early April from cancer treatment, as I’m recovering from triple heart bypass surgery ( 04 Feb ). No complaints! I’m good, and feeling cautiously lucky so far. Here’s something I saw on a Facebook M1 site. Installation of the fender mounted GT 350 Shelby snake on the right side of the shiny black grill ( the grill with the faux fog light inserts holes ) of a 2023 M1 I believe. I couldn’t get a response from the installer; I’ve been thinking how to mount the emblem, should I decide to proceed. There are two mounting pins, top & bottom, plus two small nut retainers to hold the emblem in place ( as told to me by a Ford dealership parts person ). The emblem on the FB site did look good on the M1. Or I might be delusional. I’m fully able to accept that judgement! Stay safe, & drive like bandit nonetheless! Daniel

My freind has a 2003 Saleen and had Shelby snakes on the fenders. I told him to loose the snakes because it's not a Shelby. I gave him crap every time I saw him. He went to a car show and some of the people gave him the same crap. He pulled them. As a M1 freind I'll say the same. Don't do it. Its not a shelby, and its perfect the way it is. 👌. Freinds don't let freinds imposter their cars.

I know you’re right. It wasn’t even thinking of the Shelby specifically. It was the snake itself; as a bit of, Im not sure now! Too many meds! But, the M1 is perfect minus snakes! I do agree. Just was curious on a rare slow day. Cheers! Enjoy your weekend. Everyone 🙂

Adhesive tape is the way most badges are mounted.

However, your Mach 1 has lower production rates than the GT350 models and is a great car, that even most GT350 owners will admit, so putting false badging on it just makes it worse and not better.

Hi ... I'm glad you're on the mend .
No snake badges on a non Shelby , most opinions, but it's your car and if you like it,that's up to you .

If you like the way the badge looks, why not do the small coyote badge upfront? You get a similar look without “up badging”

I have coyote badges that mirror the look of the GT350 badges. I mocked it up on my Mach 1 style bumper and to me it just didn’t look right. With the design of the Mach grille, in particular the halos, it just felt too busy and out of place. Never took a picture of it so I can’t post what it looked like, but I’m sure someone with good photoshop skills could do it. The Mach front end looks good as is, I personally wouldn’t add anything to it

I would shy away from the Shelby badges and recommend going for a Ford Performance theme if you want to get more “race inspired”. As the car IS a Ford Performance vehicle so you would not be “upbadging”.

Get an unusual snake badge and confuse everyone.

I have a Shelby Super Snake Bumper and it did come with the "Shelby" Upper grille, I was able to just re-use my GT/CS grille instead and it fit perfectly so I could retain my GT/CS heritage. Only Shelby visible logos are the tops of the exhaust tips on my Shelby GT-H cat-back system.

I think this is appropriate, as well as Shelby center caps on Shelby wheels for instance. That isn’t an upbadge. I think even if you wanted you could’ve kept the grille as you used a Shelby part. I think when the lines get crossed is when you remove a badge for instance and replace with another.
