I loathe the 10r80

Just too much shifting, too busy. I've only ever driven a rental ecoboost 10 speed but it was constantly trying to figure out what to do.

That's why you want to get in the programming and change the shift schedules

Ive driven both. Have an A10 now. Once you get it tuned and it works like its supposed to, its incredible.

That said I’ve never driven an automatic car before. Always driven manuals all my life.

If I had two cars in the stable, would love to have a manual also. Say like the little 'ol Por-cha below at my cars and coffee today. (GT3 manual. "paint to sample" custom color) Sport buckets. the option list costs more than some of our Mustangs ... anyway......

Yes, with a bit of tuning and maybe even some parts upgrades, these 10-speeds are well worth it. I have my own programming and did the Transgo shift kit. Stock drag mode is pretty wild. I love this trans.

My friends EB A10 is weird. He drives it like a grandma but on our commute, we work same place, near identical drives, he can't get over 19.8mpg average. In my 6spd v8 with a tune I get 22.4. Both our actual math at the pump reflect these numbers too.

Makes me wonder what's up with the EB tuning.
