Raybestos offers drop in extra clutch's for the E and F drums for the 10R80. They show one for the D clutch but it's never been listed for purchase.
So I contacted Raybestos to find out when this might be available.

Person I spoke with said this has been on backorder since 2023, and indicated they had no ETA.

So I did my own. You can lathe cut the alum apply piston down .060" and the hardened pressure plate down .055". From there you can get the recommended off load clearance between .024" and .068" by using the correct selective snap ring (available from Ford) that retains the D clutch pressure plate.

I am stuffing my D clutch with the upgraded GPZ clutches, so I'll have 7 fibers and 7 steels.

So if you want to upgrade the D clutch drum, you can do it since it could be a long wait..

Interesting modification. GM upgraded Ford's 10R80 hardware for their 600 HP ZL1 Camaro application and there might be off-the-shelf component upgrades from GM to retrofit into the 10R80 for better torque and clutch energy capabilities? I didn't get a chance to review the 10R80 vs 10L90 comparison details at Ford's ATNPC Engineering teardown area in 2019 but I do know GM gets upgraded hardware for the CDF clutch module (FCC Indiana supplies Ford and GM ) and Front Support Module and shafts (Linamar also supplies Ford and GM) so a more thorough investigation of what simple swap upgrades are available could be a good start for any 10R80 build up.
