I have a Gen 3 coyote with an RPG stage 2 shortblock.
Catless headers and a vortech v3 jt trim supercharger with 3.6 pulley.
On VP Octane booster it made 762 rwhp, and on race-gas octane booster it made 850rwhp on a mustang dyno.
I drive a lot, about 18k miles a year, and I'm sick of buying octane booster. So I picked up a snow perf stage 2.5 meth kit to try and make 750rwhp on 93 pump gas.

The kit arrives tomorrow, and I have 4gph, 6gph and 10gph nozzles.
Some people have said a 6gph is fine, and others have said 8gph or 10gph would be better... so I'm curious as to what everyone else is running.

If you are running a similar setup, what nozzle are you running?
How much did you put down on the dyno with it?
And how long does a tank of meth juice normally last you?
Where did you mount your nozzle and the tank?
If I use the washer fluid reservoir, would I be able to take advantage of the low fluid sensor?
If you purchased the snow performance kit, did you need to buy anything else, or did the kit have everything?
I'll take whatever advice you methheads have.

@junits15 has a pretty decent amount of knowledge in this area although he isn't currently boosted. Hopefully he can chime in.

Why not just do E85? You already have the RPG Block. V3 JT 3.33, Fore Innovations fuel system 800+whp. I'm sure it's much cheaper than octane booster + meth.

I had a pretty nice system set up, but mine was a super high cost build. I used a syvecs can bus WMI controller. Though the system is disabled I am keeping that controller, because it was truly that good. The syvecs controller made it so the nozzle was less important and the water could be dialed in via the solenoid or the pump duty.

You'll have to play with nozzle size, its heavily dependent on location and your specific engine configuration. Start with 6GPH and see how it goes, watch knock, it should be zero for a whole pull.

The advantage to meth over e85 is only there if you are not in an area with abundant e85. If you have alot of corn around its better, if you dont meth is a great option and extremely reliable now. The fluid is easy to get and store, and doesn't spray until it is needed.

With all that said, i am doing e85 now, because the gains weren't there when naturally aspriated and PCMtec's true flex fuel system allows me to flip between fuels instantly and safely. I am not in an area with a lot of e85, so its not easy for me to stay on one fuel. Take that as you will

I had an AIS meth kit on my old 1997 Cobra (Paxton NOVI 2000) but I'll chip in:

If you are running a similar setup, what nozzle are you running?

Two nozzles. 17 in front of the blower and 14 before the throttle body.

How much did you put down on the dyno with it?

609. This was a 4.6 on 15psi so much lower than a Coyote would with the same boost

And how long does a tank of meth juice normally last you?

A long time. A gallon would last me the whole summer, easily driving it a couple times a week. Controller was setup so it didn't come on until 10psi

Where did you mount your nozzle and the tank?

In front of the blower and another in front of the TB. Tank was a 2 gallon cell in the trunk

If I use the washer fluid reservoir, would I be able to take advantage of the low fluid sensor?

Yes.

Also, I really like meth. But watch out when you run the colored stuff it can clog your nozzles. Was wondering why mine wasn't spraying...

Personally I'd run the 10 and the 4 (or 6) in a dual nozzle set up if I was going to rely on Meth. Better spray pattern with dual nozzles for safety but I'd still be leary to rely on it solely. I'd run the meth and buy boostane by the 5 Gallon jug and use 14ish oz per tank. Cheaper than buying by the bottle.

Also I drive about 2-300 miles a week and run through a gallon of meth ever 2-3 weeks tops. Meth engages at 5.5psi.

If anything goes tits up with your methanol system, you're likely going to have carnage (if you're taking full advantage).

Is risking your motor REALLY worth 20 or 30 hp? If all you're trying to make is 750 wheel, that's very reasonable on pump 93.

If it were me I'd seek out better mechanical suck and blow if you absolutely must remain on 93. You can always smoke the motor if the fuel system craps, but unless the meth system has some sorta badass diagnostics and alarms on it, it could crap on you and you wouldn't even know it, you'd just keep mashing until something bad happens.

Maybe the meth systems are better now, but tuners don't like em because they had a reputation for crapping out.

What’s the colored stuff? Boost juice?

Has anyone tried blending 93 with methanol fuel? Would that be a cheaper octane bump than booster with every tank?

yea, the residue from the dye or whatever

only takes a few minutes to pull your jets and hit them with some carb cleaner, no big deal just something to keep in mind

It tends to separate so it doesn't mix well, it's bad for your fuel system, you'd need to run a lot richer, etc

That can cost you an engine right there.
