My dad said that too when he was 64. He's now 80 and says we'll have to pry his keys from his cold dead hands.

My wife's car got rear ended at a stop all way intersection by a middle aged dude. I guess everyone above 40 years old should now be tested annually and they all deserve 10 fbombs and their licenses should be nuked.

Honestly, the way most people drive, young, middle aged and old, I wouldn’t be totally opposed to annual or biannual testing. It blows my mind how some people are able to get a license in the first place.

I could see how it read that way. I was definitely upset, and still am. But straight up verbally abusing old people (or anyone for that matter) isn't my MO. She eventually owned up and we parted civilly.

I filled a claim with her insurance this afternoon. They said they needed to verify what happened with her before they can approve repairs. Hopefully she does the right thing and doesn't change her story. I've had a bad track record with people taking responsibility lately.
