  1. Will you guys screenshot your Ford Pass car?

Close, but not quite on my 2.3L HPP. Mine has the stripe delete option but Ford Pass shows hood stripes, and magnetic mirrors/rear spoiler (mine are body color). Also the wheels are completely wrong - I have the handling package with the 19x9.5 ā€œPP2ā€ wheels and these sure aren’t those.
  2. Worst Day Ever!!- Say it aint so!!!

OP - accidents happen, and I am very glad you and others involved were okay and uninjured. Ultimately that is what is most important here. Mechanical things can be repaired and replaced. S550’s are pretty toughly built (honestly, they’re built like a tank), so I would be surprised if this...
  3. My first mustang - 2018 ecoboost roush RS1

Congratulations!!! Wow, that Royal Crimson was such a beautiful color - great choice!
  4. Clear Taillights Upgrade - And Proud Dad Moment

Getting there on the health front - dealing with a tough one, unfortunately. Cancer sucks. These are the lamps from the Ice White and Stealth packages, so they only illuminate in red. The true Euro lamps are a different thing entirely and aren’t compatible wiith US spec wiring as far as I’m...
  5. Ford Performance OEM Clear taillights on Grabber Blue - Yay or Nay?

Thanks!! Kids are 20 (son) and 14 (daughter), so watching them dig in with parts and tools and get the job done was a proud moment for me as a parent!! Great to see the next generation get involved with the Mustang!!
  6. Ford Performance OEM Clear taillights on Grabber Blue - Yay or Nay?

My very late vote is in favor of the clears, specifically the OEM Ford Performance ones. My kids just installed them on my Grabber Blue HPP while I’m laid up with health issues. Looks great - here’s the before and after. Son and daughter did one heck of a job which is a cool story unto itself.
  7. Clear Taillights Upgrade - And Proud Dad Moment

Okay - how cool is this? I purchased the Ford Performance clear lens taillight set several weeks ago, and then promptly developed some nasty health issues that knocked me off my feet. This afternoon, my 20 year old son decided to wash the inside and outside of my 2022 2.3L HPP ā€œRoadrunnerā€...
  8. To all the manual drivers...

Shifter in 1st gear, parking brake on, wheel turned towards the curb if there’s an incline/decline for extra safety. Haven’t owned a manual in a while, but that’s how I learned 35 years ago from my father and it served me well for two decades.
  9. Looks like GM really liked the Mach 1…

Had a 1991 Taurus for a brief while. LX with the aluminum basket weave wheels. Impossible to clean…. what a pain in the ass.
  10. What weight oil do you use?

5W50 synthetic in my 2.3L HPP because that’s what’s recommended and that RS engine is psychotic. 5W20 synthetic blend for the past 15 years in my 2011 5.0. I don’t really drive it hard; maybe the occasional 7000rpm run up just for kicks and grins. No ticks, no noises, no problems, car gets...
  11. What name did you give your Mustang?

No Acme - only 93 octane premium fuel!!!
  12. What name did you give your Mustang?

Love the hood scoops! Are those the Ford/3D Carbon ones or something else?
  13. What name did you give your Mustang?

Roadrunner. Bright blue, faster than my 2011 5.0L Coyote. It’s a 2022 2.3L HPP + HP and runs like a scalded cat. Bit of an inside joke, but all in good fun.
  14. I the Performance Package really necessary for a Daily Driver, not a Hot Rodder.

I ordered my 2.3 High Performance with the Handling Package (kinda its equivalent of the PP for that powertrain) because enough of the contents made the $1900 price tag worthwhile. - MagneRide dampers are incredible for both DD comfort and for twisty back road shenanigans. - I really wanted...
  15. Mustang Photograph of the Month Contest – May 2025

S197 is a fairly large car, I’m leaning heavily into the front fender, and I’m not super tall to begin with!
  16. Coolant life?

I have always follwed the 5 years or 60,000miles rule (which ever comes first) for coolant on my 2011 5.0L. But admittedly, my goal with that car is long-term preservation of what amounts to a family heirloom, so I’m willing to undertake some maintenance periods that can look ridiculous. Case...
  17. Mustang Photograph of the Month Contest – May 2025

Not a 6G so ineligible, but I recently had professional photos taken with my 2011 S197 5.0 to celebrate my 50th birthday. They turned out amazing!! Beautiful Fall day at Michigan’s Lower Huron Metropark. Photo courtesy of LemonTree Photography by Christine.
  18. Anyone build their car more for Grand Touring? (Suspension)

Don’t feel upset with the A6+3.15 combo!! I’ve owned that configuration for 15 years in my 2011 S197 and it’s a perfect combination for a ā€œgrand tourerā€. If I want ā€œsports carā€ I jump in my 2022 HPP+HP with the psycho RS engine and 3.55 gear. And my 50+ year old bones are starting to dislike...
  19. I need tires

My vote is for the RE980 AS+. They’ve proven to be outstanding in all weather conditions, including snow and ice, over the three years I’ve had them. I previously had Pilot Sport AS3’s and the Bridgestones will definitely make me re-think paying the ā€œMichelin Taxā€ for tires ever again.
  20. 10 Speed Transmission hesitation when cruising

I’m becoming convinced that the 10R80 hates being driven gingerly and prefers being beat like a pack mule. Try driving in hard for 2-3 weeks in Sport+ where it will hit every gear instead of skip-shifting. I did that to my ā€˜22 HPP two summers ago and it made a HUGE positive difference in...
