Was going thru boxes never opened after my last move many decades ago. Many car magazines (I subscribed to them all). Thought I would post this Mach 1 result page from Car & Driver February 1975.

OCRed PDF included (don't count on OCR accuracy - small, old font, freebee OCR)

Fun fact (not): These outsold all prior Mach 1s.

Wow, a blistering 10.1 seconds to 60.

Now we hit 60 and maybe stop before it gets there. :giggle:

This was not the kind of magazine I was expecting. 😁

Very cool to find old mags like this….my dad has a huge archive of similar…..I’m both looking forward to, and not looking forward to cleaning them out some day when he passes.

The AM/FM radio option was really expensive ($213 was quite a lot in 1975). It's more than the V8/Automatic option at only $172.

Thanks for posting that—I had to read many of those stats twice to comprehend—I still cant figure out how I get better (not much) gas mileage at so much more power and performance In my 22 M1.

Got rid of those before I married in '74. I mean with the pages all stuck together only the articles were still accessible.

I have about a refrigerator box volume of old magazines. I'm going thru them to keep ones that had articles about cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. I owned or still own. Tossing out decades of National Lampoon, Mad, offroad, various racing, gun mags, etc.. I know some of this stuff has some value but not enough for me to want to go thru the selling process. For the NatLamps, I had since bought the entire run in searchable PDFs for around $15 on Etsy.

And my kid will owe me in 20 years (if I'm lucky). Or be pissed because the ""Buy this Magazine or we'll shoot this Dog" and the much later "Buy this Magazine or we'll shoot this hooka" are then worth $10k.

Mine was a 2-step process.
First I saved (cut out) and saved all the articles I ever wanted, throwing away most of magazine (to save space).
Then, painfully scanned each article into PDF, and save on Google Drive.

Good idea!

Might do that with the magazines I retained for articles. OCRed articles makes topics easy to find.

Would gladly pay for scans of full runs of many magazines but either don't exist or only available from publishers who thinks they're gold.
