Huge knock issue.

cant upload logs right now but ill try to explain as best as possible.

Out of nowhere today im getting 6 degrees of knock basically all the time. Cruising at a quarter throttle knock climbs to 6 and stays. Neutral revs, 1-4 degrees. Obviosuly full throttle 6.

Pretty much all rpm range with light to max load reads some range of knock.

Everything was fine. Then it wasnt. I added a half bottle of boostane to a quarter tank of gas which already had boostane. Gas should be fine.

Any ideas?

lots of stuff that could have come lose over time and are now rattling against exhaust or something. sounds like you ruled out gas with the boostane. i'd just be starting with all exhaust connections and go from there. hopefully it's something stupid.

Get under the car and check everything out. Exhaust, Exhaust tips, clamps, hangers, etc. Tap the exhaust with a rubber mallet and listen for rattles. Check around the motor for anything that could be loose and tapping against it. If you're auto check the plate between the motor and trans.

Fingers crossed that it's not something wrong with the motor but is it running well? Any unusual sounds?

Did you have any or do any work to it recently, even if unrelated?

Last but not least run through that whole tank of gas and fill up again from a different station and check again.

Mine was ring lands. Car ran fine. Do a compression check. Open oil cap while idling... is it puffing out with each revolution?

same my breathers let me know how bad it was car ran like a top just randomly misfired and did a compression test and 2 cylinders were in the 50s so yeah u can break the rings and not think u did I would
do a comp test

Idled with cap off. Can feel puffs every revolution.

You can hear air moving in the crankcase, but there should be no pressure at idle with the PCV valve hooked up. If everything is sealed up right, the PCV should draw 2 to 5 inches of vacuum at the other end. If there's pressure out the cap hole, you got serious problems.

Update is she gone. RIP.

Just finished the test. #7 toast. 85 psi.

Bitter sweet. Happened right in prime car season.

I guess its time for a built short block, fuel and all the boost. ‍♂

At least get the head off and check #7 for damage to the wall, and the head. It may not be a total loss.
