I have been thinking the same thoughts. If I was going to street rod or CAM-C, start with a regular ecoboost. Figure about $10K to go play and have a better performing car. Tee Lew gets 25.5-26 at 80, my almost stock (Borla exhaust) gets about 24 at 80. I can get 26-27 but only at 60-65. I like my car but it is just a FMIC and tune away from being better (sigh). Still in D street for now. If the pummeling gets too bad then CAM-C.

Exactly. I have about 8K into mine , including labor at a speed shop (I have more money than time) PD tune is in the works and then I'll be ready for track days this spring.

I cant wait until spring to see what the modded regular Ecoboost Mustangs run at the drags compared to the 2.3 HPP Ecoboost Mustangs.

From what I understand, if 2 cars were tuned and modded the same, the HPP would have about a 20 HP advantage. It's not as much different as an NX2.

From what I am seeing, the 2020 2.3 HPP Mustang is actually priced lower than some of its competitors . The competing manufacturers are probably increasing the pricing on their 2021 models also. If true that Ford produced just less than 3000 of the 2020 2.3 HPP Mustangs , that would be a good number for a Covid induced shutdown of production for a good part of 2020.

Overall, this was a good year for car sales. So the question is really, was that number demand driven or supply driven? Only Ford knows for sure.
