I'm trying to use this tuner with the new tunes I got from Wengerd. The TDN app is up-to-date, wifi strong signal, successful bluetooth connection, TDN app successfully updated the firmware, the app is logged into TDN, I used this same tuner on the same 2016 Mustang GT last fall to push a tune. I uninstalled/reinstalled the TDN app, rebooted phone, etc.

Today, while trying to push a new Wengerd tune, or read the current tune, or synchronize credits, it errors out.

e.g. I go into Flash -> Read Vehicle, I keep getting the error "Sending file 1 of 8 to RTD Gen 3: FAIL".

Anyone else having this issue lately?

If this doesn't work, I'll see if the laptop upload method works. But damn it, it should be a breeze to do it with the TDN app, if only I could get the app to work.

It's not going to read Lunds tune. You have to flash the new tune without reading the current one.

With the help of Wengerd, I was able to use the laptop software to make a backup copy of the Lund tune that was on my GT, then write the stock Wengerd tune in its place. Now I should be able to finally get the backup key fob programmed. Oy.

It's not going to read Lunds tune
AI can read it. Seen it done. Gotta love the Russian ingenuity to pay for nothing ha-ha

Yep this was my suggestion too. That TDN app is fucking shit and slow. Had it fail constantly so I just have Daryl send me tune updates via email and use the HP Tuners program. Flawless...except for the 30min full reads lol.

I was able to write the 91 octane Wengerd tune to my 2016 Mustang using the RTD Flasher app and my laptop, no trouble at all. I then tried to start data logging using the TDN app just like I successfully did using the same car, phone and RTD+ tuner last fall but now nothing but errors and problems. Even when I just want to do logging, it tries to send the same files it keeps failing on no matter what other option on whichever screen/menu option I select. Read vehicle, sync files, sync credits, data log, yadda yadda yadda.

I sent the requested info log to TDN support, hopefully something positive comes of it.

The App is trash. Just use the VCM scanner on your laptop and connect directly to the RTD with the cable it came with. Wengerd can send you a channel Config file for all the pids he want to see, plus then you can view your own logs and live data.

Ya the TDN app is trash, couldn't get logging to work on it.

Laptop is the best method and not much of a pain if you aren't planning on switching tunes often (for fuel changes as an example).

I gave the app another try after uninstalling and reinstalling it yet again. But, as before, still has the same problems. Can't update firmware, can't sync, can't download tunes, etc. They told me to send them the log file from the tuner, so I did, to which they suggested I do exactly what I have already done multiple times. Using multiple phones.

I'm stepping off this RTD app merry-go-round. If I can't do the post-tune logging I want to do using my laptop, I don't think it's going to happen.
