so you're telling me you followed these instructions and you couldn't see the option? it's on the multi functional display. it's a sync2 option, like I said I have no idea about sync3/2016.

The instructions talk about shifting out of R into any gear other than P. That is AT language. I'm guessing this feature does not apply to the MT cars.

The manual never said to use the touch screen!
And the digital display has the same menu sequence until the expected Delay option, which was missing. That's what threw me.

So I went back to the touch screen and scrolled to the 2nd page and found it.
The display stays on anywhere from a few seconds to over 20 seconds. Not sure why the variance.

Anyway, thanks for caring, Fionic! (3rd week in my new car.)

Yeah, and then there are the complicated headlamps, door locks, and windows!
I wanted to make a point of tracking this thread down and thanking you for asking this question ... I set mine to the longer delay about 2 weeks ago, and it's super handy when parking in our garage. I pull partially in, bump it to reverse, back to 1st and I use the camera to confirm my position as I pull forward.

I get it. Clever.

Turns out that even I may have to back my new car into our garage. It is a standard size, which means that things are tight, especially since we have 18" deep pop-up shelving lining all the walls. If I back in, then I can keep the two passenger sides of the cars close together, no side mirror interference, and then we can open our driver doors to the side walls of the garage. Ridiculous but perhaps necessary. Backup camera, projected lines, parking assist, and a parking block will all come into play.

Sometimes the simplest question turns out to have a deeper meaning.

I wish there was a hack to use the camera when driving.

I love the delay. I almost always shift into gear while rolling backwards after parked. Helps to see an extra couple of seconds. 6 or 7 mph and it disappears

Why do you want to have the reverse camera on when you are going forward?

so i can make sure my garage door closes when i pull foreword and i dont have to turn around. it works for a 5 or 10 seconds or until u reach 5mph i think.
