How often to change mt82 fluid?

My car has 55k miles on it (17 GT PP) and I’m not sure if it’s ever been changed since I bought it used. I don’t drive it very hard anymore, usually 6th gear cruising on the highway. I am getting suspension overhauled Sunday but I want to do the transmission fluid soon.. have I waited too long?

no weird noises/shifts besides clunky 1-2 shift

Gonna do it again at 60k.
But no ATF garbage.
Full on full synthetic 75w120. Wildhorse cocktail.

I think every 60k is perfectly fine unless your car is used as a learner often lol. I changed mine pretty early to get out any break in material but it came out nearly perfect.

Like taking candy from a baby, just remember to remove the fill plug first. If you drain the fluid first & can’t refill it, then that’s a problem !

Nope, I’m the only person who drives my car. People driving a manual now a days is a rarity

I did mine at 30k with the OP Mustang kit. I am fairly rough on it plus my 1-2 shift is almost impossible when it’s colder than 45 outside. The BG fluid helped a bit when it warms up.

I swap all fluids at least once every other year. Brake fluid multiple times a year but I’m a pretty hard driver

Got my 2019 Bullitt in 2022 with a little over 14,000 miles on it.
I changed the fluid my first winter with Calimer recommened Amsoil 75w-90 manual transaxle gear lube. That was a flush. Replaced it again the next winter with the same thing and installed a MGW shifter, The transmission works perfectly.

I run Red Line Oil front to back. The brake fluid gets changed regularly due to heavy use/abuse and these are big heavy cars.

Wise to document frequency of changes.
