I get my Bullitt serviced at my local Ford dealer with Ford-spec TOTAL QUARTZ INEO ECOB 5W20 oil and one bottle Ceratac that I bring with the car.
They can only offer Castrol, which I would not even put into a lawn mower. 🤷‍♂️

This isn't meant to be another typewriter tick bitch session. Rather I'm just curious to get the consensus from people who use Ceratec and go to the dealer for regular service. Do you get push back from the dealer? Are they fine with it? Any warranty threats or issues ever come up in relation to Ceratec?
No, but the adviser breaks out in hives.

FWIW, I have had 2 5.0 Mustangs. a 2017 and this 2022. Both purchased new, and both brought home straight from the dealership and the oil immediately drained and filled with Amsoil Signature Series 0w-40. Neither car ever had the tick. 🤷‍♂️

Do you realize you have one of the worst engine oil you could have used in your engine? And by the way it's neither respecting the certification (it's an WSS-M2C948-B) from Ford Europe (which calls for WSS-M2C950-A). So there goes you warranty, if you care about it.
They are just pouring the oil they use for the little 1.0 liter EcoBoost.

Either way the oil specification for the European Mustang is just plainly wrong because Ford sells and services so few of them here that they just went for the Transit Diesel oil to preserve the GPF (search for what oils meets the WSS-M2C950-A and you'll see it's for diesel engines).

Just use and oil that meets the real specification made for the Ford Coyote, the USA one, which is WSS-M2C961-A1 and has a low enough SAPs content to meet also ACEA C2 specifications if you are concerned for your GPF.
Mobil 1 X1 5W-30 will fit the bill.

Our engines come prefilled with an oil that meets WSS-M2C961-A1 as well some other millions of the same engine in other vehicle lineup.

Thank you for your concerns, but you are wrong.
A 5W-20 WSS-M2C948-B is what you have to put into a 2018-2020 GT/Bullitt in Europe to keep warranty.
But a 0W-30 WSS-M2C950-A is correct for your 2022 GT/Mach1, this spec applies only for model year 2021+.

TOTAL QUARTZ INEO EcoB 5W-20 is one of the better oils in terms of additives with the spec WSS-M2C948-B. This oil itself already ensures less engine tick.

My extended warranty goes until 2027, after which I can choose the oil according to my own taste.

For up to MY 2020:

Indeed I am wrong. The specification changed.

Anyhow, it's a testament to the resilience of this engine family.
You can put in it the 0W-20 with an additive it was not called for (you and many others), the diesel Transit oil (as Ford Europe after 2021) or the one it was approved for (which I still believe to be the better choice)... and it will not complain. This thing is built to last.
