I've already told them not to put it on my car.

It's a pretty common thing among some dealers. I've had one Taurus and one Corolla with riveted dealer badges.
Good to know - I would die if a dealer did this to my car - I find it odd that they take the time to drill into the body and pay for badges like this. I can guarantee no dealer would be stupid enough to pull this stunt on a 15 mustang! Lets hope so anyways.

They're normally riveted on through drilled holes. Very hard to re-seal the holes.

What??? Maybe 20 years ago

Thankfully my dealer never put it on.

The 5.0 badge is definitely on pins that go into holes on the body panel and I am assuming the same for the GT.

Since the subject of badges was brought up, what about the factory badging?
Does anybody know yet if the GT and 5.0 factory badges on the 2015 are stick on or if they have pins thru holes in the body panels?

I try to stay away from guaranteeing that others won't be stupid:lol:

Your faith in others is admirable but I am pretty much the opposite and tend to expect other people to screw up stuff so that I can be happy when that doesn't happen.

Right!

Could you imagine you come to get your car and they put dealer badges under each 5.0 emblem! I would projectile vomit on their face.

Funny story:
I had a 1991 GT that I paid to get a full paint job on and did a 93 cobra conversion on. I get to the shop and the guy is about to put 5.0 emblems under the Cobra snakes.....I almost puked - thank God I got there when I did.

I believe that the 5.0 badge has holes behind it. See Zombies pics in the member builds section.

Most dealer badges I've seen are stickers. My current car had a big ugly one on it that i ended up just peeling off after a few weeks of messing with it here and there to loosen the glue slowly. It ended up popping off with very little residue left behind.

My new car I ordered I've asked them to not put the dealer stickers on it or drill into my bumper since I'm going to get a no drill bracket once one is available for purchase for the GT PP model.

Anyone lame enough to except delivery of a new Vehicle with a Dealer Tag that was actually riveted unto the Vehicle deserves it. I`d refuse delivery and re-order somewhere else even if it took 6 months. Case Closed!

Just ask to have the dealer's badge or sticker removed when the vehicle is going to be cleaned up. I've never heard of a case where they'll say no.

Just tell your salesman NOW that you don't want any badges or front plate brackets installed. Get it out of the way so if they do it, you can remind him that you made this request before the car even arrived at the dealer.
