every dealer in Nebraska puts it on, and they are adhesive. I told my sales guy that it is a no no to stick anything to my paint. I am impressed with performance Ford, Ill wear their hat anywhere. but, don't stick anything to my paint!

They didn't. i am happier with them now.

I believe that piece would be riveted on. I know the faux cap on my '05 was. it never moved an inch.

Have the dealer remove them prior to purchase, work it into the contract.
This. I had the dealer remove mine off a certified used car and they had no issues and nothing was left behind.

My wife's new car I instructed them not to put their obnoxious billboard on the car or we wouldn't accept delivery of it. They listened.

It isn't worth even bringing it up to the dealer if the badge is already on. Just remove it yourself when you get it home, it's easy to do and you'll doubtless be more careful than the guy that would have done it at the dealership.

My dealership never puts badges on cars - just license plate frames. When we bring in cars from surrounding dealers that do stick on badges, we simply peel them off and clean up the adhesive. Nobody rivets them on.

Wow, what jackasses. I do believe that they'd be buying me a new piece of black plastic if that were mine (unless it's just a stick on).

It amazes me how much of the general public drives around with these dealer billboards on their cars.

My dealer doesn't do stickers/badges. One less thing to worry about.
