How do you guys listen to your stereo?

Just curious...how do you guys listen to the stereo...with the "stereo" or "surround" setting?

I'm the same. Winter, windows open, ski hat on, radio off. I could not even tell you if my radio works. I listen to Coyote & Kooks, my favorite band.

I turned off the surround setting as per one of the threads I found on here, the center speaker throws off the sound staging (or whatever you want to call it)

A lot of people have gone so far as to physically remove or disconnect the center/surround speaker.

Surround mode, driver only. It actually sounds better with the top down. I guess the rag top absorbs a lot of sound.

I just replaced my B&O sub with a pair of 12s and a decent amp...so I'm getting back into the stereo. I had to have the bass turned up before, because the system just didn't have it. Now with the subs, I have the bass flat again. Played with the Stereo and Surround settings this morning to see if it made a change in the sub output.

Surround, as mentioned above, sounds better with top down, which is when it’s dry and 3°C or warmer, so a lot of the time.

I use Android Auto, so I'm not sure how that affects the audio settings. I suppose they probably still work, and I have Surround turned off. I always turn Surround off on audio systems, it makes music too artificial to my ears. I like it as clean and true to the source material as possible.

Quiet, because it sounds shittier than my 23 year old truck with a stock radio, or off because my exhaust sounds good.

Surround sound off, EVH on one channel and Mike Anthony on the other as all VH albums should be.

Mine has "all seats" and "driver" settings. Base stereo. I use driver.
