Feels smooth, not gritty. Relatively grippy (if hands aren't dry as in "dry skin"). It has matte clear coat, it's not dry cf. I mostly drive @ 2&10 or 9&3 position where the perforated leather is, but if I do ride gangsta, 1 handed @ 12:00 position, where it's matte cf it's good. Got mine on...
