I was a tad concerned about water ingress also but thought sod it and took a chance. Was pleasantly surprised at the weekend to realise that any water that goes in runs between the two skins and out a pre cut hole just above the headlights. No watermarks on anything ( washer cap and CAI housing) whatsoever directly below the vents.I agree here with Manders, wait till you come over, make a weekend of it, Mike says that this is the most stressful job he does to a Mustang, he'll get it right though
He can do it in a morning, tape it up for you so as the sealant gets a chance to go off when you drive it away. He also makes a very neat job of the soundproofing/heat shield under the bonnet, this needs cut away as well to stop it getting saturated and affecting the whole area with water.
Don't worry re water ingress, any water that gets in drains off into innocuous areas and doesn't get to anywhere that would cause concern. This was a concern to me initially, but after a good couple of snowfoams and washes, it's all good under there.
Again, his last words were, 'the way they should've came' ;)
