So who is gonna be the brave soul to hack into their bonnet and fit some OEM bonnet vents? Quite like the ones with the turn signals In them.

Wonder how expensive a replacement bonnet would be
Just be sure you know where the rain goes before you cut the holes!!

There's a thread on here somewhere where somebody did that.

I love the vents but the thought of 1. cutting huge holes in a brand new ÂŁ35K car scares the shit out of me and 2. not having those holes moulded/shaped as they are from the factory would annoy my OCD not to mention the extra prep required to make sure the edges are waterproof and rustproof.

Like the rear sequential lights; too much hassle for too little reward.

Wondering the same thing. Want the car to be the way it should have come with the OEM strut brace & the vents. After all, the design of the car allowed for these & by deleting them, they effect the efficiency of the engine, surely?

Problem is that if you look carefully, they aren't just 'popped' into holes in the bonnet, the holes are properly cut with rounded edges for the vents to sit. I can't see how this can be done without a lot of work including painting.

Reckon the cheapest option would be to ship a new bonnet (or hood) & paint it. It'll be costly though which puts me off big time

Is it not easier to just straight buy a hood with the vents on them? Either a part someone has replaced Twin Turbo may know the site for this, or from Roush/other dealers for a fully new hood, then paint it to match?

Jimboy2 might be able to pull one from a friend to ship it to you in the states, equally there's a few guys who sometimes pop up around forums who will bring orders over on ships etc for you, for a fraction of the cost.

There is a guy down south that brings a container over every few months and he'll sell space. You ship your item to his US address then he brings it back and you collect. Can't remember his name offhand. Emailed him and he didn't reply...

This place is worth keeping an eye on:

If you want a whole hood shipped, use Ron Fenton at STS Imports. You'd get it sent to his place in Florida, then he arranges to get it in one of his containers, then it's shipped to his place in Essex. MUCH cheaper than getting a supplier to air-freight it.

However, someone did buy some Roush vents and had them installed on their UK car. I'll have to dig out the thread :)

He bought a US hood & changed the vents. Looks like the shipping option is the answer then
