I have the Ford Performance on mine. Nothing fancy they are just hood struts. Dont spend anymore then you have to.

Have to cut the battery cover for the Rouch struts that are on the way. I kept dropping the 3 battery cover plastic crap hold down screws. Left them off and went for a ride to see if the cover moved, not at all. Plastic hold down screws now in the glove box!

Haha, me too! I dropped all 3 and only found 2. Ford only sells them in a set of 4 (??), so I have extras now...in my glove box. Be sure to check the clearance of the "peak" of the body brackets to underhood clearance -- mine were "net" and required a little grinding. Roush was going to make a running change to ensure they worked on a Bullitt.

I took mine off to put on a Battery Tender pigtail and dropped two. One went down into the fender, was able to get it by popping the fender liner part way off, reached in and it was right there.

I put a slot in the Battery cover for easy access.
I did the same. It didn't make sense to remove a strut to gain access to the battery. That would be a PITA.

Just installed my Redline Tuning hood struts. The instructions said the retaining clip for the washer fluid hose was supposed to be go through the hole in the passenger side hood bracket. In fact it says it twice. Step 3 then step 8. My retainer (the lower one) is at least an inch away from the hole. Is this a '19 change? Anyone else have this problem?

I installed Roush (not Red Line) struts, but Roush solves this problem by supplying 2 offset "fir tree"" tie-wraps that move the washer hose inboard about 3/4..." but still use the existing underhood holes to mount the "fir trees"

Hey, after 2 months of waiting I got my Roush struts and installed in 30 minutes. Works great. Only thing I need to fix is the pass side of the hood is slightly raised. Can't figure out what's causing it. Dummy me should have looked before starting the install to see if it was this way from the factory.

Yes. They used there old design instead of redesigning to cut cost of having 2 brackets which is not a big issue to me. I had an issue with that on the 2015 50th anniversary which was not redlines fault instead was Ford for not aligning the hood properly.
