I am considering putting the Koni special active struts and shocks on my 2019 Bullitt w/o magnaride. I would like a more complient ride when cruising and still handle well on the twisty back roads. I am looking for the best of both worlds, soft street ride, performance handling when called for.

I also want to keep the stock springs, not really interested in lowering the car. Anyone have any experience with the Koni struts and shocks?

I did call Steeda and asked about their setup, they said it would firm up the ride across the board. This may be due to the lowering springs they offer with their package.

So what's the consensus, yeah or ney on the Koni's?

That's a step backwards. Also. I don't think those active Konis work with a Magnaride. If I remember talking to Steeda the Konis were soft compared to the Steeda active strut/shocks.

Keep the OEM shocks they offer a updated Magnaride controller

It would be simpler to exchange your Bullitt for one with Magneride, I’ve owned both, in a Mag equipped car in normal mode the ride is more compliant, the non Mag car feels like the Mag car permanently in Sport mode

I agree that the magnaride is superior, however, my Bullitt does not have that option that's why I'm exploring other options.

I've considered that, I'm hoping I can find a more affordable option. However, that may not be the case.

I had the Steeda version back in 2019 paired to their progressive springs. It was not half bad but the rebound damping was a little light. And I didn't like the excessive drop even with the eco motor.

They may have revised/improved the valving since.

If you want to drive down to VA you can have my set (about 3000 miles) for $300.

The other way to soften the ride is to use eibach bump stops.

I had no major gripes with the ride hustling around tight back roads. It was only the flat, straight frost-heave highway slogs that annoyed me.

Thank you for the info on the steeda setup. I'm hoping I can find a setup that will do kind of the opposite, smooth on the highway and tighten up in the curves.
