My dealer never gapped the NGK plugs at time of the Whipple install and ended up destroying the cats after about 7,000 miles. Oddly enough, the car ran great for the first 6,000 miles without a single misfire or hiccup.
Since the cats were toast, I purchased Kooks 1 7/8 with the non green high flow cats and dealer absorbed the cost of installation. I didn't want to go catless, as its my only daily driver and wanted to have it somewhat tame for when the wife rides with me.
I can't say how long the cats would have lasted if the plugs were gapped correctly from the get go.
