2016 30k, evap replaced two days ago. Today compressor started making the death whine. Going back to dealer next week. Anyone else have evap and compressor failure at the same time?

We all hear about the guys with evaporator problems, but who has the highest mileage without an evaporator core replacement? Who has driven their Mustang for years without an evaporator replacement and still has it blowing cold air. Letās give the rest of us hope that our cars donāt have to have our interiors gutted to replace the evaporator. Letās hear it from those that still get a/c as it was when delivered!
I am at 12,000 and no issues. What say you all?[/QUOTe
At 86706 2015 pp no issues... Heavily used a/c in Texas until I moved back in march of 2018

Stephen King reader?Wow! You win the kewpie doll and hold the record so far. So there is hope!
Yes. Had my evaporator core replaced at 22K miles. At 27k now with no issues.. Fingers crossed she holds up over the long summer here in the south..Has anyone had an issue in a 17 or newer? Just wondering if they finally fixed the issues after 15-16
Its not a big deal. Just have the dealer replace the evaporator core (if that is the issue) under warranty and your back on the road in comfort. It is a known issue and there is a TSB to repair it.I made it all the way to 2911 miles, 17 gt. Itās been parked since October. Got the car out for the first time this year on Friday. No ac. Iām seriously thinking of selling it.
