Mine failed at 11K miles. In the shop a second time for it after the first time they wanted to do the refill route...going on its third day in the shop getting the evap core replaced.

I encourage all of you having evap core issues to pursue the BBB Auto Line approach. I opened a claim on my 2016 after my first issue at 11K miles. I just got the car back after a second repair attempt. I got a letter from BBB today that my claim has been accepted and that Ford will repurchase the vehicle if it goes to 4 repairs for the same issue...no mileage limitation. I hope it does not go that way, but the history of claims by other owners here does not fill me with confidence.

2016 Ecoboost, replaced evaporator at 20K miles, I'm in GA. Invoice listed TSB 18-2256. Service tech said he was replacing another customer's core for the second time, with the same part he installed in my car - so I don't think the core has changed. He said to hope for a recall.

2015 GT PP Premium, 42k miles and still blowing cold. I bought the car with 10k on it, but I don't believe the previous owner replaced anything under warranty.

2016 GT Premium, 4,028 miles and no AC issues. I'm hoping at the rate I drive it that it will last until I trade up to a GT350.

I'm right at 50k miles with the original evaporator. But, the AC did go out a year ago this past August. The symptoms were the typical ones associated with a failing evaporator.

Rather than take it in, I recharged the system with a refrigerant that also contained a sealant. Knock on wood - it's been over a year now and the AC is sill blowing cold. It'll get down to about 42 degrees coming out the vents.

Just over 32k on my '17 EB Base. I have no problems with AC and frankly haven't a clue what I'd look for with an evap failure?

16' with 25k, took mine in because it takes forever to get cold. They said they tested it and it's fine. Nope, the 2018 Edge loaner they gave me for my engine diagnosis my would freeze your fingers off after 10 minutes. Sneaky suspicion they are pushing it off until I hit my 3 year in April. Fall is here and they know I won't be using it much anymore.
