We all hear about the guys with evaporator problems, but who has the highest mileage without an evaporator core replacement? Who has driven their Mustang for years without an evaporator replacement and still has it blowing cold air. Let’s give the rest of us hope that our cars don’t have to have our interiors gutted to replace the evaporator. Let’s hear it from those that still get a/c as it was when delivered!

I am at 12,000 and no issues. What say you all?

You do realize, that you have a 2017 Mustang.... with only 12k miles on it.

And still under warranty. Your post seems odd.

We only hear when people get evaporator problems but is there some dude with 60 or 80 thousand miles with the original a/c working? Are they all destined to fail? And BTW there is a guy here with 4 a/c repairs and only 17,000 miles with some having the evaporator go before 500 miles.

And guys: I currently hold the world record for lowest mileage with no a/c at 3km and then drove it that way for 18 years and 375,000km without the a/c ever working! :D

Let’s just see if they all fail and the limits or whether there are some members here that have working a/c for years like from the start of 6 gen production. Those that want to start a class action law suit should find out if all early cars had them replaced by now or if there is a sizeable percentage still on the road with the original a/c working.

69,000 MILES on my 2015 GT - no failure...the fan speed controller and blower motor were replaced at about 20,000 due to variation in fan speed....that problem returned at about 40,000 - I never bothered fixing it again.

MAYBE....

I traded that thing in a month ago...MT82 went out at 66K - STILL had the original clutch in fine shape...

I did a magnum XL swap, tune, etc. etc. etc. $8,000 later, was a bad deal, wound up trading it in, have a 2018 Escape now, good riddance...

31k on 2015 GT here. Only had it just over a year now myself, but no trouble.

Have been thinking about the ESP due to these reports, but also thinking at same time if it was gonna give trouble probably would've done so by now.

30,000 and no issues
When browsing the AC thread over the last 2 years its seems to affect those in states like FL, AR,TX where you use AC much more often.

Just traded my '15 GTPP with over 80,000 miles no issues w/ AC or Trans. Now driving my wife's '16GTPP no issues either!! She has the '18 GTPP1 nothing, but only 600 miles.

2015 GT, 34k miles, no issues yet. I also am afraid of using the A/C for fear of an out of warranty issue. Luckily I live in the northeast and can live without it most of the time.
