If you want fun, get yourself a GT with the active exhaust. More fun than a hot tub full of cheerleaders!

I beg to differ. It's close. VERY close. But nothing trumps a hot tub full of cheerleaders (all of legal age of course).

Will say I enjoyed my ecoboost w ford tune which is probsbly close to this.
As a dd it was wonderful, comfortable, had pull, and looked great doing it
Sure people want a gt. But I didnā€™t need a gt.

extra cost doesn't seem worth it. i work from home now so this isn't a commuter/daily driver.
You're asking an extremely specific question about the handling of the car, and then say the cost of magneride isn't worth it.

So......I'm confused.

Well, true.

But when you get past 70, perspectives tend to morph a little!

I'm honestly at a cross roads here, gang, and I need some help. Title says it all so I'll give a little color.
Yes, we know a PP GT will be faster than a EB HPP car. What I'm worried about is something you can't measure... FUN.

S550 Cars I've tested
BASE GT 6spd
Bullitt (so a loaded GT with performance pack)
Ecoboost HPP with the handling pack (unfortunately it wasn't a 6spd)

first things first, the hpp EB car with the handling pack looks amazing.

It shockingly sounds good, looks awesome, is way less expensive, and is lighter. the EB is supposed to be like 150+ lbs off the nose.
Its supposed to feel more nimble, but I had a fat salesman and my son with me when i drove this autotragic version so I don't think it was a fair shake.

So here's my question to anyone with experience with both:

does the 2018+ GT with the performance pack really suffer from the extra weight on the nose or is this given too much attention?

Obviously money matters but it isn't a driving force in this situation. I LOVED the bullitt but it had magneride and if i get a GT with PP it won't so I'm not sure how much that affects things.... I'm really annoyed with the lack of cars to test drive right now.
You're gonna second guess yourself no matter the decision... I say get a MACH1 with/HP and let the fun begin. With some LTH and a borla/atak or corsa/extreme... you'll light up that underground snobby garage and it will bring a smile to your face everytime... it does for me...

The ecoboost is not fun and does not sound good compared to the V8 option. Do not try to convince yourself otherwise.
If you ever worry about weight over the nose, just put wider wheels and tires on the car.
what specifically didn't you like about the hpp 6spd ecoboost you drove?

Cars are like womenā€¦Donā€™t rush into something just to say you have it or youā€™ll regret it down the road. Take your time deciding on what you want and like. If itā€™s not available, then wait until it is.

on a side note, having driven an ā€˜18 GT without the magnaride for 3 years, then going to the Mach 1 with it was like night and day difference.

it just doesnā€™t go good enough or sound correct enough. Idk what else to say.
I donā€™t care about v8 rumble, not everyone feels the same way.

Iā€™d rather listen to music
