I believe you are discussing 2 different aspects of the part: high quality and then there is higher exhaust flow from a less restrictive 200 cell count cat. IIRC most oem.are like 600 cell. ?
Green are 300 iirc.

A lot of the LT headers that come with cats are inferior cats. The Fabspeed uses HJS cats, the best in the business. Also, Fabspeed is charging quite a penny for just making these. The HJS cats won't throw a code and don't need tuning to keep the 02 sensors readiness green.

A GT350 with these cats will probably sound glorious. I had these on a Porsche 911S I had, the sound was incredible, even for a flat 6.

FSā€™s HFCs sound amazing and may add a very small (highlight very) amount of performance gain. Whether or not they can hold up for heavy track use is another story. They will not throw codes or require a tune. The video on the first page demonstrates the sound increase. The price caused me to pause on a purchase when they were introduced and still to this day. But they are priced this way because of the quality of materials and construction.

Those HJS cats can be had for around $1400 for the pair, there definitely is a ton of mark up but it can be expected. I am sure they don't sell a ton of them. Whats nice about the FS stuff is the one cat setup with the VBand connectors. You can rip the cats out for track use then put them back on.

That version is $900.00 more. I know there is a mark up but they have to be profitable too. If the cats are available that price, I would have to have someone build the piping so Iā€™m at their pricing anyways, without a warranty on them. They have done the testing and state they back them up. Iā€™m not saying they are worth it, obviously not to me since I have not purchased them. But there are very limited options available to the GT350 crowd, other than going LTā€™s which gets you into warranty issues, CELā€™s and tuning. That is not worth it either. The FS HFCs are just an option, one of very few. Pay the price or not.

This was my attempt to construct midpipes with integrated high flow cats. These are Shifteck cat delete pipes with 02 extensions and Magnaflow #69006 200 cell HFC's. The sound is super aggressive while maintaining the 350's unique character. Sounds amazing just a bit too loud for my daily commute. Also improved throttle response especially when rev matching. Also no CEL for the few hundred miles they were on.

Iā€™m getting my car ready for the dreaded winter storage. I put it up on the rack to clean and inspect the undercarriage.
I looked over the the FabSpeed High Flow Cats for any cracks or deficiencies and they look pretty damn good to me.
Around 6,000 miles of street driving and 2, Two day weekends at Mid-Ohio with my son and I going back to back as we were sharing the car.
He would come to the pits, weā€™d change drivers and go back out for another 1/2 hour session.

You have any more video you can post of the car after the high flo cats were installed?

Would like to see just strictly the high flow cats HP numbers sans headers and resonator delete. Did the company publish a standalone test with the aforementioned high flow cat by itself on a true baseline GT350 that did not have any other mods? I see they mentioned 21 hp, buts not clear if that is in conjunction with any other mod. From what I am reading, the high flow cat test results are all accumulative as they seem to be evaluated in conjunction with other mods. i Would just like know what the HP gain is for the stand alone high flow cart product. I believe the fat house figure if 21hp is with other mods.

@engineermike did pressure testing and if I remember right the stock cats only add 1 psi at N/A flow levels.

I would say the aftermarket cats will add no power and might possibly reduce it.

I know when this product was 1st avail. I DID confirm with Gary Hartell @ Fabspeed that the baseline incl. ONLY an FP (Airaid) Air Filter. Nothing else done ....

Finally got the video done for the GT350 driving, both in car and exterior with sound. It's pretty noticeable from the cruising portion toward the middle / 3/4 into playing. In-person is a complete noticeable difference, had a local GT350 owner stop by to hear it. Hopefully, we'll be getting some more out to you guys soon to get other perspectives!

So far around 2500 miles on the clock after the install, still no CEL - which is pretty much gaurenteed. My gas mileage has gone down though because.. well.. you know šŸ˜‚

Thank you for posting this video.

After watching it, I decided that high flow cats are not for me. I honestly think that resonator delete with stock exhaust sounds just right.

I like the sport cats, at least on the computer speakers. Wish they did a test without cats.
