Somewhere between 700-850 rwhp is when more power becomes pointless on the street
Lol not for me. As long as stock cars like Plaids and SF90s exist, im gonna need more 😂

I just replaced the A10 in my 18. I see no reason you have to take the turbo off to set the fluid level.
I stand corrected. We put it all together last night and indeed there is enough room to check/fill the transmission with the passenger side exhaust/turbo on.

Cant wait for work to be over, tonight is street testing night.

I always use meth on 93. I don't trust that it's always 93.

I also think if you got the filter completely submerged the turbo would get damaged first. Even the guys with the horizontal filters have never gotten a filter submerged because of its location (in the middle of the car)

You would have to drive though a 12-18in deep puddle to get a filter submerged in that location.

I think the turbo kit looks the part though. History has proven the mid mount selection to be a better performing solution despite all of the drawbacks.

Speaking about filters with and without the elbow. We kinda forgot to put on the passenger elbow and filter after installing the Turbo and it is super tight on that side in front of the turbo. I decided to take off both elbows and put the filter directly on the turbos and Holy Shit!!!!, you can hear the turbos spool. I had no idea.....
The elbows are never going back on.

Do you have big filters? 4"? The bigger the less restrictive, and more noise.

well shit guys, I was all excited getting my top mount TT from Hellion until I read this whole thread. I'm actually waiting for my kit to arrive in the next 2 weeks.

It sounds like most of you will go with the sleeper kit for better reasons, I kind of regretting it now lol. The only reason I got the top mount is because I wanted to see those twins every time I pop the hood and I guess I wanted to hear them every time they spool. My end goal will be 1100 to 1200 whp and not looking for more than that.

Please tell me I didn't pick the wrong option!

Maybe I am just getting old but at 7lbs my car is almost useless at lower speeds on the street. It just hazes my 20 inch Nitto DRs and I normally can't stay in it WOT. 110 mph comes quick!

I can't imagine trying to drive this thing making near that kind of power you are looking for.

You just need better tires and smaller wheels!

You can likely make that number, might have to lower back pressure with the exhaust. The tubing has to be small enough to clear everything. That creates back pressure.

Dumps may be in order.

Local guy here had it and swapped it out for a custom mid mount setup. They had so many issues with heat it wasn't worth the hassle.

I assume you have a built motor since you are looking for 4 digit power?

There is no wrong choice. You will smile every time the boost comes in. Get some good heat blankets for the hot side of the turbos. When you get to 700 plus you will see how stupid it is on the street.
