I run A/S 3+ in 265/40 and 275/40 on stock 19" wheels. They were recomended to a member here by a reputable tire shop owner. They are almost the same exact width as stock tires and add so much functionality to the car, especially up here in Maine.
Congrats. Those tires do run wide, based on an old thread here I got 265/40 and 275/40 and they fit perfecty. No tramlining and with street driving plenty of grip and feel.
I know your question wasn't for me but my A/S 3+ are my year-round tire. I have other vehicles for winter so I'm will to give up our worst 3 months to not change wheels and tires each year.
A10 is awesome in the f150 too. Different purposes. Great truck transmission, though I'll take my sports cars in manual. I've had lots of good dct's, A10 does not compare but isn't bad.
I also had a 135, they still had the great BMW hydraulic steering though that was lost in 2012 when everything switched to electric steering. I believe that is why the 1M has held it's value so well, last of the (more) raw BMW M-cars along with the E90/E92 and E60/E63.
I run A/S 3+ on factory wheels, 265/40 font and 275/40 rear. Great tires and almost exactly the size of the factory Sport Cup 2 (there is a thread on these). Not sure how the 285/35 compare.
I did the first 100 mile thing but just broke 1000 miles and it's been to redline a few times, just not extended time. No oil burned at all. As has been said on here, it appears you get a good engine or you don't.
No need, I am running 265/40 front and 275/40 rear and they are pretty much dead on. There is a thread on here where they are discussed and were recommended by a tire shop owner, that's where I got the size info. Can't just go by size as some tires are just wider than others. PS4 are wider...
I actually went with Pilot Sport A/S 3+ here in Maine so I can drive 8-9 months with confidence. I can't push it hard enough on the roads here to surpass the limits of them. Kept the Sport Cup 2's so I can buy wheels for them if I decide to track it at some point. Had PS4's on my GT-R...
