I have a cool 1500 coming for tax season and I am curious what I should do first. Install a set of catted long tubes or the gt 350 with throttle body install.

Both can be done for about the same price and hopefully in a year or two I'll have a full N/A setup but I can't decide what to do first...

Also wouldn't actually do the manifold until the Holley gets released and tested.

That's such a bummer... I was hoping people would go intake because the header job looks frustrating

Headers. Oh and the install is frustrating. Def well worth it though.

I'd do headers and wait for all the other intakes to come out. The install really isn't that bad. Take your time a take breaks it goes by quickly.

Don't do the GT350 intake manifold unless you have a tune and data logging ability. I would get the headers out of the way. Once you do those, everything else you do to your car will be easy in comparison.

Do the the headers as stated above. I installed Pypes long tubes on mine and the fitment is perfect and my car made great power for being an auto. Beefcakes pricing on them is great also. The install is not as bad as people make it out to be. The right tools go a long way and having the knowledge to put them on.

I probably should search this before asking but here goes anyway, is there any long tubes system that won't hook up to an American racing catback?

I have a buddy in Baton Rouge that just installed a SW set from Beefcake. Took him and his helpful wife a day and a half. He called cussing no less than 10 times. Every morning this week I get a call at 5am with him telling me how happy he is and how bad ass the headers are. His intake will be ordered soon soon. LOL.

you need a tune after the headers anyway so that doesn't really matter

I would just pick up a set of arh headers. the whole system is the best sounding for the s550 in my opinion.

ARH full exhaust is the way I'll go. Most expensive but I haven't seen anyone put down the same numbers the ARH system does. And the ARH quality and customer service is second to none.

I'll offer a different opinion....headers seem to make this car very loud, which I have no interest in. A good intake manifold offers some very nice gains up top without the noise penalty.

I would try to get around some 15+ Mustangs in person that have long tubes to make sure that you don't make a decision you will regret.

I have long tubes on my C7, but that car makes a lot of power and sort of "needs" headers rather than just want them for a small power bump and some "sound." So I am not "against" headers, but many people regret them (many people like them, too) because they just wake the dead and then spend all their time trying to find ways to quiet their system down.
