Has anyone broke an aluminator?

I had a brand new stage 3 mt82 and RXT 1200 HD clutch installed at the same time aluminator was going in. I drove it without any WOT or going above 4,000 rpm for the first 400-500 miles before throwing it on the dyno and doing the remote tuning with PBD where we made the big power. I'm now hearing the best way to break a motor in is to get it up to temp, do 2 pulls 50% throttle 50% rpm, followed by 2 pulls 75% throttle 75% rpm, followed by 2 more pulls at 100% throttle all the way to max rpm (8,000).

Not questioning you but who told you that? I just want to make sure I get it right.

Oh ok. You have the Gen 2 aluminator? I think the gen 3 has the same internals as the gen2..going back and forth between the gen3 aluminator and the rpg gen3 motor. Rpg has stronger rods and pistions but cost a couple more dollars. I didn't realize the aluminators came with a warranty? I sent ford performance an email and they said the long blocks come with a warranty not the shortblocks.Rpg has a 1 year 12,000 mile warranty.
RPG uses all kinds of rods and piston combinations including the exact same as the aluminator. All the name brand h-beam rods are going to be compatible same with pistons. If a aluminator fails it more then likely will not have anything to do with the rods or pistons
