Is this enough of a defect that would cause premature wear at that point?

Only worried about long term effects, nothing else really.

Hello; The H pipe is part of the exhaust. On an episode of engine masters they investigated the idea of dents on performance. To the point of hitting header pipes with a hammer. They made dents and ran the engine on the dyno with no loss of HP or torque. Made more and bigger dents and still no performance loss.
Of course such was not your question. I do not see a small dent affecting long term very much. If it is stainless ought to last a long time. My pickup came with stainless pipes. Been on the truck since 2004 and still fine. A number of small dings & scratches.
If not stainless will corrode away over time regardless is my experience.

It’s going to get dinged up under the car anyway. Plus, Steeda uses 304 stainless, so no worrying about it rusting through either.
