Quote from the video that sums what I expected and how I feel about the car from what I've seen:

Yes, it's a few seconds slower than a GT3 RS around the Nürburgring, but who cares? It's an event.
It's a spitting, snorting fighter of a car. This thing is the antidote to EVs. It's the best of America retrimmed to take on the European elite. And it's not just technically impressive, this car. It's got a big heart and a big character

When we heard Ford was making a nearly $325,000 Mustang, I literally laughed out loud. In the modern world, most fun vehicles have become unobtanium and horsepower obsessed. Supercars are now a dime a dozen and end up either rotting in someone's garage or drag race for clout. Luckily for everyone, Ford allowed us to share their engineering story and technical details from the people who did the work on the back end. Not only that, they handed us the keys to drive it flat out at Autobahn Country Club to determine if that effort and price tag

At the end:

So, all these things, as great as the car is, it still has some problems from them to work out and sort out. But, I will again counter that with the fact that this is one of the most exciting cars I've ever driven in my time of doing this. And it took some serious brass balls to greenlight this car and see this through. I mean, like the balls on these guys, like to let's take a Mustang and do this. And somebody's like, "Yes, we're going to do this." I I thank God they made this thing.

I need some YouTubers to start having GTD giveaways. If all I have to do is buy keychains and t shirts for entries then it looks like my mom and my lady are getting Speed Phenom or Stang Mode or *insert YouTube channel here* apparel for Christmas.

that’s the only way I’ll get one right now

It's still pretty mind blowing that underneath all that fancy tech and exotic materials is a $30k rental car chassis.

I like to think of this car as the trailer-trash redneck looking at the Europeans and saying "oh, you think you're fast? I can do that too. Hold my beer."

Ford is holding the titles for the first 2 years of ownership, if I remember correctly. I believe that was mentioned on Jay Leno's video. Would both people have to carry insurance if someone 'sold' their car early or transferred ownership?

And every 60's GT350 and GT500 was built on a $2500 secretary's car. 😁

and you sir, win the internet for the day…so tired of the “it’s built on the same line as an ecoboost“ and so is the ZLI, but nobody whines when it’s an alpha chassis 😛

lol I read his post the same way and literally rolled my eyes. That’s like saying the BMW G82 M3 is a lesser car cause it shares the same platform as the X3 or X4. It’s a stupid argument.

After referencing $2500 secretaries car. ( to much Ford vs Ferrari) I think he was referring to this gt350.

totally agree, but that’s kinda my point…it’s been going on since the beginning 😉
