you can apply color through a chemical process like anodizing, but over time it will fade due to UV exposure. Any physical coating will crack or chip once a socket is applied.

Raw titanium has proven best for long term durability and contaminant resistance.
Anodized titanium will not fade. Fading of the finish applies to only anodized aluminum and only to parts dyed via immersion. Trust me on this one

Anodizing titanium is super cool it takes 75-120 volt DC can achieve all sorts of cool hues and colors all done by electrolysis no dyes involved. It is the dyes that fade in UV light. The chemistry is simple the power supply is expensive and the voltage can be dangerous

Here in Oregon we have 2 titanium foundries. Top secret stuff in one instance they weighed the material before and after machining, saved all the chips to prevent reverse engineering

They just turn that frequency dial to change the color and tap the part a few times and you see it change colors instantly each time. Not sure on voltage. My company works with Grade 23.

The latest run of titanium lug nuts are in hand and shipping out this week. This will be the last run for the year, so let me know if you want to grab some. Specific lengths front and rear to protrude the same length, and half the weight of OEM.

I have 10 sets of the long/short version for OEM and our Signature Wheel

I have 5 sets of the all short version for the OEM carbon fiber wheel

Cost is $485 shipped.

Sometimes the easiest solutions take the longest to develop.
.
My Exhibitions of Speed (EOS) titanium lug nuts have been an excellent addition for the S550 Mustangs. Specifically developed in different lengths to accommodate the extended wheel studs on the GT350R/GT500, and different depth profiles on the front and rear Signature Wheel. Being half the weight of OEM and considerably stronger its a no brainer.
.
One of the biggest requests I have had was to make them closed ended. This was problematic as different stud lengths could require more room to protrude through the lug nut. I was able to developed a very effective and low cost option to achieve that goal. These CNC machined caps are a press fit into the existing wheel and allow you to have a closed ended look without losing the utility of working with any length stud. You could also use a piece of vinyl wrap or paint them to color match the vehicle.
.
I will get a cost to include these with the upcoming batch of titanium lug nuts, and to order for those who already have my EOS titanium lug nuts they want to install the caps on.

Do these work with the factory wheels? Base model and CF?

Terrance: The caps are slick but honestly, I think I like seeing the studs. :-) Call me crazy. Now, if they were Titanium caps..that might be different although I get how that would be almost impossible. But, glad you have a solution for everyone...nice work.

Hi. I just went with a set of the R40 features a six-sided, hexagonal lug nut with aluminum end plugs, each lug consisting of 2 pieces, where the top of the lugs spin freely from the tapered centering ring. This ensures a much tighter and precise hold than traditional lug nuts. It also minimizes the chances of scratching your wheels. I just weighed one and they weigh: 59 grams each.
