Was one of four interested in 2019R until my investment report for second quarter arrived.
The return on it will out pace that of the R, and will trac the 2018 GT350 with some upgrades.
One thing from the reported build prices on 2020 models is a hefty price increase for the R package, which makes the 19 a steal at MSRP.

I understand that most guys in these threads are making a lot of cash money in this economy (and get laid regularly). We work hard in a specific vocation.

I think it is a good idea to stop trading cars every two years. You need to fund your retirement accounts at the maximum amounts.
Doc
There are lots of ways to reduce your costs. Definitely I got a lot lower trade on my GT350 because I drove it 33,000 miles or so and a handful of track days. The OP is saving a ton of money by not driving his car very much. I decided to go with an older car this time around because I know I'm going to want to change every few years no matter what I drive. The GT350 was such an awesome car that I ended up keeping it almost 4 years. That's a long time for me.

I'm happy with what I'm putting into retirement. I think my main effort is maximizing my fun per dollar.

I was offered $50k (800 miles) on trade from my local ford dealer that was enticing me with a 19 R!
That's only $800 less than I paid for mine, with 1700 miles (From a Porsche dealer)

Sold my 2016 R a couple months back - I don't want to share the price because that's the new owners business but it's better than some examples in this thread with lower miles (I had over 12k miles). The smart thing would have been to just start DDing it to the max and get the most fun out of it possible :)

@Nicky Pass : $50K is good for a ‘17 as they sold me a new ‘18 for 58K and saw new ‘19’s non R, selling for $4K below sticker. The ‘19R will be a bargain at sticker as they will have about $5K increase in base price for’20 R

50K for a non R, right?
Yes... I was offered $50k for my 2017 Avalanche Gray with black stripes...with 800-ish miles.

The thought of giving up my paid off car and coming up with $27k is tough to do. It’s wheels, I’d rather have Signature SV902s, a wing and “exclusivity.....

I'd keep it if it's a good one.

I think the C5 Z06's were the best ones.

Crazy. You never even drove the thing.

I racked up 16000km in 11 months on my R.
I have 4 non daily special occasions cars ... when you split up driving time 4 ways the miles stay low. Unfortunately (or fortunately for the new owner) the Shelby got the least use. I found myself driving the Amg GTR the most.

I know the MB AMG GT car. I live near the new Mercedes North America headquarters. I know a few guys that work there. They have some of the best jobs around here.

Nonetheless, you should just get rid of the GT350R since it doesn't really fit in your very nice collection. You need to go to $52K-$55K. to get a fair bid.

Funny you mention the AMG GTR - put a deposit down yesterday on the Pro edition. Glad to hear
Some more positive feedback.

I live near the biggest Mercedes dealer in the area which is also very close to the dudes at the North America Headquarters. I prefer a Porsche which also has it's North American Headquarters.in the area.

No one has won more races in the world than a proper Porsche 911.

Can’t disagree with that man. I really dig the look of the GTR pro though - but I did try and get an allocation for the new 718 GT4 or the 2020
911 turbo - and was told i wouldn’t have the car until 2021. I live in a smaller town and don’t have a relationship with the Porsche dealership.

The GTR Pro was dumb luck.

That’s awesome! The GTR has been my favorite car I’ve ever owned and I’ve had some cool rides over the years. Actually got rid of a 911 turbo s for the GTR. A turbo 911 is a nice car but OMG is it boring.
