Thoughts on resale value for 2017 with electronics pack and 500 miles? I'm looking to make a change and surprised at the trade in offers I received from 2 dealers (49,500 and 48,000). I expected low 50s.

he says 500. I see used 17s with 2000 or less priced all over the board. 59k, 57k, 55k, 53k, ect.... on the various car buying sites. these are dealer listings. a dealer usually wants at least a 5k cushion so they can negotiate and still make money. GLWS.

Dealer wouldn't negotiate at all on my purchase of an electronics package 2700 mile 17, except to round down to an even 1000 number. He would come up on my trade in but he wouldn't give another cent on the price of the car in the written contract. After several discussions he basically said take it if you want it and if not, it was nice to meet you. If the $5,000 figure mentioned above is about right - and I think it is - somewhere around $50 to 51k is probably very good for trade in. But now the 2018s are out so that may take a bit off of the 17s so maybe around $50k..

I got 51K in FL for a 16 track pack last July. Right after that trade, the values went down. Face it, the standard 350's are more common now and the trade in values are lower.

I wouldn't trade it in. I would outright sell the vehicle. My trade deal was negotiated AFTER the R purchase negotiation. I would always try to negotiate as if it was a cash or outside finance deal and then consider trade values. Me, personally, I wouldn't sell the car for less than 50K. But you have to decide for yourself.

my gt350 has just under 500 miles. And I agree with the posts. I honestly expected to get about 52-53k. maybe I'll just hold on to her.

coming up on your trade = coming down on car price.

Always best to apply Vaseline before asking a dealer for a trade in price.

They are looking to make money in resale. It’s a buyers market on GT350s.

Since its not an R, its just another car thats now a year old, dealer does not want it. If it has the sofa seats they are sought after because Ford ran out. Sell it yourself maybe you will get 51-53. But lets face it you expect to lose 15-20% on year old car. GT350 really only commands MSRP. When 18's hit showroom floors think how much the unsold 17 will drop. Things are much different from 15/16 model years, where everybody wanted them. I think 17 better than 15/16.

Lot less room to maneuver with an $18-20K 12 GT trade in versus a $56K GT350. Relatively speaking - while I was might be looking for $2K off of the 350 he was talking $500 to $1K more trade in on the 12. In the end, if you do come to an agreement it doesn't make a difference.
