The problem is that dealers have 2016 GT350's sitting on their lots, 80% of which are non-track pack cars that are not nearly as desirable as a 2017's or track pack cars (to qualify, to me and many others) so the cars that have sat have brought down the price of the more desirable cars.

I think anyone expecting to sell off their 350 now is going to take a bath, but in time the car will hold its value.

It's still a Mustang, still a Shelby, Still numbered and still unique with 5.2 voodoo engine.

It WILL be eclipsed speed wise. Every car inevitably does. In 2019 or 2020 the Mustang will be faster than the 2018 is now.

The GT500 will come out and all this nonsense will start all over again.

Not here...I didn't jump into the hype, didn't pay any mark ups, and never will. I still love my 350 and still see it as a special car, even if it isn't as fast as others. I also know I would lose my shirt if I tried to sell it right now, so I might as well keep it and enjoy it.

I just bought one of the 2016 non R's a couple of days back. Has the tech package. Was used with 241 miles on it lol. Still smells new. Prior owner bought it and parked it. I paid 50k out the door. Sticker was 58k and change..

Would I like an R? Of course!!! BUT, the car is spectacular, it is a Shelby as Stoked states and it's f'in amazing.

I didn't want to pay the premium for the R and I will likely never track it.

congrats on the buy! I am looking for a used 2016 or 2017 myself. Can I ask where you found it? I have been searching cars.com primarily. I want the leather seats so the 2016 would have to be the tech pkg. I have seen 2017's with the convenience pkg for about 53k. Problem is I have my 2016gt to sell and not liking my trade in offers...

Do you track either of your R's?
Wouldn’t matter for the point I think he was trying to make; the ZL1 1LE is not a street-friendly car. It is going to be super stiff and unforgiving. I don’t understand why a person would buy one unless it was tracked or they just wanted the new hotness. If the latter, I can see them looking to sell that car once the new king of the road is the introduced.

I think you can pick up '16 Tech Packs for low 40's right now. Hell, just called a dealer about one today. Worst case, mid 40's.

I got a CPO tech pack 12/1 with 10k miles (avalanche gray) and I paid 50 out the door and added a 7 year ford prem warranty for an additional 2k. I guess the pricing and availability depends on your area. I wanted the recaros but after I sat in one with and without the recaros the tech pack seats were better as far as positioning goes...it's a completely different experience being able to sit up higher versus low like the recaros.

I did a search on cars.com and I am seeing the track pack 2016's listed for 47-48k with anywhere from 8-12 miles... it seems like the tech packs are listing at a bit more for some reason....Are you saying low to mid 40's after negotiation?

Im not to sure you are going to get any GT350 in the low 40s from a stealership unless it has 30k miles and up. Maybe a private seller may let one go for that amount...where were you looking? If what you are saying is accurate im going to be a little pissed off...I looked for a month and didn't see anything anywhere close to 40k other than a wrecked one on ebay.

Lots of people find conv seats too high, with them all the way down, I still had to lean the seat back further than I like. So l am on my fourth seat/ third frame.

How tall are you? I am 5'6" and I have the leather seats in my GT... I can sit fairly high up and still have plenty of headroom and visibility. Also, can you clarify your last statement? Have you tried after market seats in your GT350?
