That grabber blue on BaT had a few things against it: no Recaros (I know there's as arse for every seat, but I think Recaro brings more money), and the pictures of the car at the track, IN THE RAIN didn't do it any favors.

So, what do you think your 2017 GT350 is worth?

I read C&D magazine and noted the much over-hyped new $87,000 2020 Corvette Z51 can barely get 490 Hp , and it got killed by the basic Porsche Cayman.

The GT350 can out-run either one of them for $30K less money. Just saying.
I haven't even looked back at the market much since i bought mine used for 44K. Hopefully they keep their value up a bit to prevent the car being "affordable" to the masses. I'd hate to see these cars being destroyed by a bunch of "Mustang owners". lol

I purposely looked for mine without Recaros. Living in California during the summer is just too damn hot.....or i'm just too damn old.

Yup, There's definitely a market for them, but from what I've seen the Recaro brings a bit more money

I had a 2017 350 with Sofa seats and I live in AZ. The cooling element was awesome, but if I get back into another 350 at some point it’s going to have Recaro’s and I’ll gladly pay a bit more for them.

..is the BaT bider warming on the GT350R?
I say $62K is a bad deal for an older 2016 GT350R which is no longer in warranty.

You can get a 2020 for near that with a 4-year bumper-to-bumper warranty.

I like the above $44K price on a non-R. I like my Recaro seats but understand that they will show wear in a few years. The optional sofa seats will look better in 3+ years.

I agree for the most part (not necessarily a "bad"deal for the buyer)... $62k for a non-track pack is a strong number. This is a good thing for owners. Maybe not so much for those still looking...

Also, it does make me feel better about the 2020 I just bought at MSRP.

Lightfoot's new budget/$94 million tax hike isn't going to help either. In August we sold our home in the Avondale neighborhood and moved up to southern Wisconsin.... come on up here! after 6 months I have found living expenses are over significantly less up here and there is plenty of space to build big garages!
I travel a lot for work (at least, I did pre-Covid). When IL started double-taxing out of state income, I looked at WI. I figured out that I could buy a ~3200 sq ft house on 2-3 acres up there, AND rent a studio in downtown Chicago for during the week, and be cost-neutral. But my wife works in the city too, and we decided it was too much hassle. Now that we've been working from home 9 months, it seems like it might have been a better idea to do it with a lot of land and open space. C'est la vie.

I likely missed it, but you bought a 2020 R at MSRP right? I’m still torn between the 500 and 350R (Previously owned a 17 GT350). I talked to a dealer with a 2020 in the cut and color I do like and they want MSRP. Trying to gauge if that’s a good deal or if MSRP on 2020’s is more common than not.

IMHO a 2020 GT350R at MSRP is a fair deal for all. Dealer makes fair money and buyer gets fair value.

I consider myself VERY lucky to have been able to purchase a HEP R at MSRP thanks to some very good people right here in this forum.

FYI - inventory of new 2020 Rs seems to be running thin. I did also buy mine at msrp. It doesn’t seem like dealers are dropping it lower than that because they don’t have to. People seem to be snapping them up.

I am very happy I decided to pull the trigger on a new one. We looked at used and it just was not worth it. We have had a lot of cars and this is my dream car. We could get the GT500 and even if it cost less, I would get the 350. I've been a lover of cars for a long time and all fanboy stuff aside...... this is a special automobile.

Thanks for the interesting video. The annual sales numbers are exactly what I wrote down from this site.

I got real suspicious when the first dude mentioned that the cars will "skyrocket" from here, and the next dude said he 'thought" the cars will go up in value.

I think the GT350/GT500 cars will depreciate but at a lower level than an average car or truck.

Anyone remember the 'older" 2010-2012 Shelby GT500 cars? They are dropping and Sports Car Market just downgraded them to a "sell".
