Curious if anyone has tried using the GT350 OEM Resonator? They look less restrictive than the OEM GT exhaust and as someone who has the active exhaust and would like it just slightly louder, I wonder if it would fit and maybe give me the extra sound I'm looking for.

I recently replaced my Borla resonator with the GT350 X and resonator (OEM) to get a little more volume. I currently have the GT350 Sport exhaust from Ford Racing with longtube headers (off road). Unfortunately the x-pipe it came with was way too load and raspy after adding the headers. I will say though that the Borla resonator was a great solution for eliminating the rasp but a little too tame for what I ultimately wanted. The volume from the GT350 X and resonator (OEM) did increase but without the annoying rasp. I was able to find a performance muffler shop that custom fit the GT350 X set-up and the Borla so I could swap them if I needed to. We utilized the factory clamps up front and added some V band clamps in the rear. The challenge will be to find the X-pipe and resonator not chopped up and in one full piece. I got lucky and found one in the “want to buy & trade” section. Good luck

Thanks for the info, I'll be on the lookout for one, I'm thinking it would add just enough volume to the oem active exhaust.

Try our Lethal resonator deletes! Provide a great exhaust note with weight savings! They are in stock and ready to ship! Give us a call for a discount! 1.877.253.8425 https://www.lethalperformance.com/l...018-mustang-5-0l-resonator-delete-x-pipe.html

I'm actually looking for the resonators, not to completely delete them, I'm thinking that the GT350 unit may be slightly less restrictive thatn the OEM 18 suitcase, so it should allow just a little more sound VS the Xpipe.

As an FYI, I don't think the stock resonator is restrictive at all. Check it out below (picture was posted by another forum member a while back):

My buddies at Larkin Motors in Bridgewater MA ordered it for me. Hopefully it will be in this week and I can get it installed early next week.

I have a GT350 resonator on my '15 GT. In fact I have the entire exhaust system, "minus the headers" of course. It sounds absolutely amazing. In quiet mode its almost as quiet as my original exhaust was except it has a real nice growl to it overall and more when revving and under acceleration. In open mode it has a really aggressive growl to it with much more volume of course.
Both modes under acceleration sound really great! I think the overall biggest improvement in the sound comes from the GT350 resonator.
The X design really makes the Coyote.

Why did you go with the GT350 resonator and not a standard XPipe?

Does anybody have a cutout of the GT350 resonator? Want to see the difference inside from ours.
