Regardless if it went into a producion street Mustang or not, it would be seriously interesting if Ford were indeed designing a FPC V8 engine for competition use(ALMS, FIA) and to hear their interpretation of an engine design that is thus far ruled by the Europeans.

As jjw & grimace stated but one step further ...

The base V6 Mustang has also had 31 spline 8.8" T-Lok "LSD" as standard equipment since 2011.

These guys must be Mopar people as I believe the only Challengers & Chargers with LSD are the top line SRT models ... can't even get it optionally on a Hemi R/T.

That and automatic is std. on Mopar with an "up-charge" for manual trans.

I don't like hood scoops in general. To me, for a performance car it would seem more functional for heat extraction from the hood rather than trying to ingest the low pressure air that resides on top of the hood. All of the high-pressure air hits the front of the car so that is where an intake should always be.

Based on everything else for has done with the new mustang program I have to imagine they would only use a hood scoop if it had functional value.

2016 Gt350 Revealed on Car & Driver Cover

Details of the new gt350 were unveiled on the cover in the April edition of Car & Driver apparently, the voodoo motor will find it way into the vehicle as a naturally aspirated application offering 550 horsepower.

I'm hoping the GT350 can be had with a minimum of graphics. I dig the look of stripes on a show car, but for a car I drive everyday I want it to have a quieter look. "Speak softly and carry a big stick".
