Im curious on the port mismatch. The gt350 has ported heads, and the intake should match them. Ours has smaller ports and could create tubulance at the transition which will kill airflow, and hurt performance.

Regarding the port question....It cant be too far off, due to ford utilizing the cobrajet on the gt350 heads for their PRI showing, but I will take detailed measurements of all necessary intake openings.

Stock manifold baseline is already done, the next dyno will be gt350 manifold on the same tune (barring any wacky fuel trims or anything i decide is unsafe based off of datalog info), if it turns out that ill be unable to dyno with the same tune ill have adjustments made and dyno afterward....the plan is to provide evryone with as much info as possible regarding this manifold and how the coyote responds to it

so curious to see how this stacks up against the cobra jet. with the port mismatch id guess the cobra jet may still be the better buy, especially considering the throttle body issues you may have. this is going to be a busy thread and you got some cojones for just rushing in on impulse. haha i like your style! :headbang::crazy::cheers:

The difference in bore size definitely doesn't help. That said, it's not as big of a deal as you'd think. LS intakes have been seeing gains with mismatched intake ports for a long time.

If you're looking every last bit of power, port it. But don't worry too much about it.

I'm not going to get into a debate about this. I think it will fall on deff ears, and be ignored. Go ahead and take that dremel to it.

Ford performance used this intake in the .99 challenge video on the N/a Gt. So it's gotta be worth something.

I wonder what throttle body was used.

How do you know? In the video they only said prototype intake but were very vague.

I had watched that video again the other day researching axle shafts and I noticed the NA GT had black runners on the intake manifold. I believe they were probably testing it but didn't specifically mention it in the parts list.

Small update, the manifold arrived at 6am, i got a chance to do some initial measurements, ill post those after i get home from work.....but the tb is a nogo as a direct bolt on there is a roughly 20mm difference in bolt spacing (the gt350 is much larger) so i guess its a good thing i ordered the tb, instead of having an adapter machined to fit the oe tb im gonna wait until i have the gt350 piece, which according to my parts guy will be monday of next week (due to the holidays, screwing up parts requisitioning) so no big deal its only a few more days....but i do plan on trial fitting and taking measurements of all orifices (orifii? Lol) today and will post that info for everyone, ive taken some initial pics already but i guess i have to sign up for a hosting service in order to post the here?

Have you done a baseline dyno of how the car is now?

Otherwise this testing will be pointless if you have no baseline to compare with. :)
