Also, forgot to mention, I dont really drag race too often and all of our local tracks are closed for the winter, so I wont have track times but I will have dyno sheets, and its a dynojet, the operator confirmed there are no adjustments he makes to the dyno he told me "what you make is what you make, no numbers fudging taking place, and my dyno is a heart breaker".....I currently made 400 to the tire using a restrictorless Steeda and diablosport can tune, he said on anyone elses its a 420 ish car so regardless, the weather here is pretty consistent so next week should be about the same..

enough hot air, i'm pretty stoked to see how this thing does, hopefully its a good turn out because having basically what should be a bolt on and go solution for an intake beats dropped mounts and hood cutting foolery, and I can used the 400 dollar steeda intake I already own.....I was a few mouse clicks away from a cobrajet bundle

Impulse buy complete, I will post the before and after dyno of strictly bolting on this manifold with no tune adjustments a retune will follow shortly after. According to ebay I should receive it by wednesday of next week ill dyno once installed....damn all this mystery somebody had to jump off the bridge to see if it hurts..lol
Way to take one for the team! I hope it's worth it. I'm excited to see the results of your dyno results!

I think the two main reasons that this intake cost so much is because it has the charge motion control valves and the fact that it is the GT350 IM lol

Yessir, the big cost adder is all the extra moving parts, the other part is kinda true...like when the cobrajet mani first came out they were listed for damn near the same cost as this one yet are a much simpler design

This should fit under the stock strut bar, subbed for numbers. I'm hoping it pulls hard to 8k but here's to hoping.

Not as good, Ford Performance has a crate voodoo engine that is/will be available soon using the Cobra Jet intake setup, rated at 580HP SAE.
Source? What else is on the motor? It's unlikely they're picking up 60 horse from a cobra jet intake setup

It's not a voodoo though, No flatplane crank. I believe it was also tuned on race gas or e85.

The motor mentioned above utilizes a crossplane crank, gt350 heads, ford racing cams (gt350 head and crossplane compatible), longtube headers, 100 octane and the cj manifold and twin 65mm tb.

Yea the cobrajet is probably still the top dog for super high rpm breathing, but the gt 350 should be plenty for the average guy looking to turn around 8k or less but maintain, (possibly increase) torque because of the retention of the imrcs

At what rpm did the cj take over, why didnt ford utilize a boss/cj like manifold on the gt350 from the start, who knows...i dont have the resources to try both manifolds back to back, or i would, just to know the answers to the whys

I know we got better valve springs now but how high are they good for? given you've already done oil pump gears and cam sprocket I think.
