My stocker has been worked over by Bret barber. I also have the factory intake that has been ported a little and cleaned up. I think the stock GT350 intake manifold with this ported stock TB would be a great combo. Probably even better with a BBK 85mm unit.

Possibly, jorge at maxbore is pretty sure he can take the stocker out to 85mm if not he said 84 for sure, but his bore/polish/shaft grinding service is only 134 total vs paying 500 bucks for the bbk unit

Ok, good luck on the self tuning, im considering picking up hptuners as well. And please share your results
Just ordered the MMR plate to fit OEM T.B. I may be all wrong but I think that the power and torque will be similar with maybe a little more Torque down low because of the adding volume to the intake with the spacer but it's will be certainly easier than tuning the gt350 T.B. I just check the gt350 T.B and the sharp cut in it is weird.

Hope to still have the dyno available when the adapter come!

The oem T.B. you are testing wright now is he stock or bored?

it has an engine!
I cant help but wonder if that adapter should be sent to maxbore as well. I remember accufabs 84.5 unit out flowing all the 85mm and 90mms for the s197 coyotes. Even ford racings own 90mm

Gt350 TB tested 1 1/2 month before this test today with the stock t.b. on a dynojet.
Sorry but we need to be cautious with that result. Also on the first dyno test comparing the stock intake vs gt350 the result was that the gt350 was equal or stronger everywhere. That's really surprising. JDM show a decrease in power and torque in the mid and lower range exactly like it was expected with a high rpm intake swap.

I appreciate all the effort but we need more test sample from others before jumping too fastto conclusions.
Nice results but we may have to test this for ourselves. The base run with the GT350 TB has a torque curve that looks like no other Coyote torque curve I have seen (flat) with the style manifold. The run with the stock TB looks more like it should (peaks and valleys).

Please do Nick as you guys are helping the community most with this 350 setup and we really need some thorough testing of this setup done just in case stock TB is just as good or as Sandeale has discovered better for him. :)

With the GT350 improperly tuned it definitely doesn't feel good, surging aside, wrong angle vs throttle....

Tuned properly, the car is way more torquey. Very nice!

Here's a hint: Don't put the GT350 TB airflow criteria in the tune and tune off that. Tune the Gt350 tb off the stock TB criteria. (there are a few items that can be changed like the TB gear ratio, etc).

Ill have a more definitive test next week when i throw my bored stock tb on there... ill do back to back pulls of the stock 80mm and the bored version
Any chance you can do all three throttle bodies the same day? Stock cleaned up, stock bored and GT350?

Would be ineteresting if the tune tweaked for each would help out more. As it has been suggested that an optimized tune may help each application out more than just running one tune (save differences in throttle tables).

We appreciate you sharing your experiences with your combo.

Ill see if the dyno guys are good with that, ill load the last tune file from lund for the gt350tb, run it, then load my current tune with the stock and bored tb

Just so everybody is not weirded out by my results, the previous gt350 run was on revision 2 from lund and he tuned it until rev 4, although to timing changes were made (cam or spark), and the latest run was made with the only change being adding the stock throttle tables to the tune...

Also, regarding the lack of torque loss between my original baseline followed by the gt350, i have no clue as to how to explain that, im pretty sure its in lunds cam settings...so take the results for what they are until i can get that back to back run in, i will comment that the car has definetly felt stronger since going back to the stock tb

You recommend using the stock TB with the GT350 IM?

I really do, it simplifies the tuning process and i gave up nothing horsepower wise based on my dyno results, and the way the car drives
