Pretty certain they're inspected and sold to a reseller with warranty. Though an actual owner of one would know what better than me. I don't think anyone, even a manufacturer, can reset an odometer legally.

I know this is a Shelby forum but here is a little history/background on the 2012 Boss 302 "Pre-Production" vehicles for any of our recent generation Boss 302 owners and fellow Shelby enthusiasts. It does and people squabble over the exact meaning of the MP and PP initials all day long. Regardless, the Certificates of Authenticity say "pre-production" right on them and that's good enough for me.

This was also done on S197 Bullitts. The pilot production cars were so good, they were reconditioned, inspected, and sold at auction to dealers. This happened for both the '08 and '09 model years.Really? Never heard that before. These exchange hands frequently or go into someone's private collection?
All of the five 2012 PP cars were under 300 miles when purchased except for PP0004 which had considerable more miles than the 4 other cars. This was also done on S197 Bullitts. The pilot production cars were so good, they were reconditioned, inspected, and sold at auction to dealers. This happened for both the '08 and '09 model years.
I was surprised by how much oil I found after a track day. Worth it. If they are selling these cars they probably want that intake and heads as clean as can be.For the Track Tour, they stated they added a pair to all the cars tracked. Preventive measures.
My apologies for getting off topic. What were we talking about with this thread again?![]()
The air that passes in and out of the engine needs to be controlled/measured for the engine management to function properly.Couldn't you just remove the lines that return the oil vapors to the intake and run an old school vent on the cam covers? Seems like that would be a lot cheaper route. I know you would lose the emission factor, but that would eliminate those dirty vapors from getting back into the intake.
What? Many including me are running 302S breathers on our GT's and Bosses with no issues. The air that passes in and out of the engine needs to be controlled/measured for the engine management to function properly.
