Aside from Saleen's effort I don't think there was ever a "factory" Mustang effort, and the Proton one was just Ford funneling through Multimatic, etc.

The gt3 and GTD are effectively the same car. GTD is specific to imsa. But since the gt3 class has bop on the gt3 cars, it's basically the same thing. No, it is the GT3.

The GTD designed was based off the GT3. The wing, aero, rear transaxle, suspension, etc. But the GT3 is NA and its been modified per the specific track requirements. So, was this the GTD?
yes per the FP guy explaining it in the video. Is the GT3 divorced transaxel like the GTD?
325K for the street version is not what I'd call cheap.Ford in this class as it's a "cheap" car
It is when it will beat street cars that cost twice as much (at least that’s what Ford is banking on as far as performance)325K for the street version is not what I'd call cheap.![]()
Yes it was awesome. I am surprised the 77 with the broken steering rack issue was able to finish in 17th placeSuper respectable performance from the Mustangs. Conditions were really tough, but they still did really well. Evidently Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari didn't want Ford in this class as it's a "cheap" car and it might look bad if it prevailed over the more expensive brands. I say the more the better in terms of number of competitors.
Epic outing for Ferrari in the hypercars. Porsche came loaded for bear but came away 4th.

Expensive in YOUR EYES. Not expensive running in this class, come on.325K for the street version is not what I'd call cheap.![]()
